I purchased white because I couldn't decide between blue and red. I do wish it was a little higher, but the present height functions well for my purposes. Having purchased the smaller size, I was able to put a tv, Apple Tv, and a satellite box on it. There is plenty of space for storing/displaying other things.

This media stand (which we bought with the dark blue finish) is exactly what we needed to hold our large (50") TV and the various components. It's all open shelving, so we found the best way to hide the cords is to put books on the shelves and tuck all the cords behind them. Our biggest complaint about it is that the finish is so soft that even with felt pads under our TV, there are still marks (little round ones with the texture of felt) under every place that our TV has sat. Otherwise, it's great: sturdy, nice looking, and compact.
