Our furniture is received into our Distribution Centers from domestic vendors. Once sold, it is pulled from these distribution facilities and placed on semi-trucks for transfer to our local Delivery Centers, where it is ultimately delivered to our customers.
Our Delivery Inventory Associates work in both our Delivery Centers and Distribution facilities and are dedicated to the safe, accurate and efficient handling, storage and transfer of Room & Board product through our system. They are an important participant in our inventory integrity process, and therefore impact the customer experience.
Our Delivery Inventory Associates verify shipment accuracy within our enterprise technology system (SAP) and resolve all discrepancies. They build strong relationships with partners in both our stores and other Delivery and Distribution facilities to gain a better understanding of the process and what role they might play to further improve inventory integrity.
Our Delivery Inventory Associates perform routine cycle counts and are accountable for the inventory accuracy of their location. Most of our facilities boast inventory accuracy in excess of 95%.
This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for the accurate and timely transfer of product. They are confident and self-driven problem solvers with a professional communication style. As a peer leader, they set high standards of cleanliness and organization within their facility.
Our Delivery Inventory Associates typically work a Monday through Friday schedule, beginning their workday earlier in the mornings. Due to the physical nature of this role, Delivery Inventory Associates are required to lift up to 65 pounds successfully. Therefore they must complete a pre-employment physical to ensure they can meet the physical demands of the role.
Room & Board is an environment of inclusion.
