Delivery Associate Role Description
Working as a team, our Delivery Associates are responsible for providing an excellent customer experience during in-home delivery. They're responsible for providing product, care and maintenance information. They build strong relationships with market Design Associates so they can seamlessly resolve any issues to ensure the customer is completely satisfied with their experience. Delivery Associates share in the customer's excitement for their purchase.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create an excellent customer experience
- Knowledgeable about our assortment, product care and maintenance
- Able to discuss our design esthetic and/or make furniture, furniture placement suggestions with customer
- Build and maintain relationships with store and delivery center partners to ensure a smooth delivery experience for the customer
- Take responsibility for the product they are delivering
- Leverage UPS routing software to meet schedule/track time and meet delivery windows
- Load customer product onto a delivery truck, securing it for transport
- Focus on quality and care in product handling during the delivery process
- Utilize hand tools for assembly and light repair of product
- Manage TDP and delivery output paperwork
- Work with their partner to manage the logistics of their route
- Operate a 24' box truck safely
- Treat their truck as an "Area of Pride," keep it clean and well maintained, reporting any damage or maintenance issues
- Manage tool, hardware and equipment inventory and maintenance
- Manage daily truck inspection log, driver feedback sheets and other DOT regulated paperwork
