Furniture Prep and Staging Associate (Merchandise Quality) Role Description
Our Furniture Prep and Staging Associates inspect, assemble and prepare our furniture and
accessories for delivery to the homes of our customers. Working within our spacious and well
lit warehouses, they collaborate with our Delivery Associates and other team members to ensure
Room & Board customers receive product every bit as beautiful as what they saw in our
retail showrooms and/or online. They have an appreciation for solid woods, other natural
materials and have a great attention to detail.
Primary Responsibilities
- As a vital member of the Delivery team, receive and stage product for outgoing deliveries.
- Carefully unload incoming transfer trucks.
- Use care in product handling to ensure quality and avoid product damage and personal injury.
- Inspect and assemble product to ensure it meets specifications of order.
- Manage paperwork such as MQ Scorecard, Truck Delivery Report, Delivery Output Report, care brochures, Transfer Order documents and picking and confirming process to ensure inventory integrity is kept.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience during the pick-up process.
- Able to complete pick-up paperwork.
- Prepare product and bring it to customer vehicle.
- Assist customer as necessary as they secure load to their vehicle.
- Obtain certification and maintain safe usage of equipment used within the warehouse, including order pickers, pallet jacks and bailers.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance within environment and with all tools and equipment.
- Load outgoing transfer trucks as necessary.
