Repair Associate Role Description

A Repair Associate is talented at repairing Room & Board product. They use their passion for fine quality furniture and expertise and craftsmanship to ensure our customers receive the beautiful, quality furniture they expect. They assess and repair damaged product that is ready to be, or already has been, delivered to our customers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • As necessary, support the Returns Associate as s/he determines the probability of successful product repair.
  • Successfully repair all products to their original condition. Adapt to changing repair techniques for new products, styles and changing finishes. Must be proficient at
    • Furniture construction techniques
    • Wood touch-up, color matching, re-finishing and structural repairs
    • Upholstery and leather repair including surface and structural repairs
  • Possess a working knowledge of our assortment including vendors, collections and finishes.
  • Fully engage in the business and build strong relationships with MQ, Returns, Store and Vendor teams
  • Work safely and use good judgment with all tools, equipment and finishes.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly workspace
  • Offer possible solutions to vendor quality issues that effect potentially large quantities of product.
