Our Delivery Centers are managed by leaders that are accountable for all product delivered in their market, regardless of whether it was purchased in the store, on our website or through our 1-800 channel. They are dedicated operations professionals with a passion to create exceptional customer experiences through the leadership and guidance of a team of delivery, warehouse and administrative individuals.
Our Delivery Center Managers are exceptional leaders of others and are gifted at guiding and mentoring a team of career-oriented professionals. They create a vision of customer service excellence and empower their team to serve Room & Board's customers while also managing in the best interest of the business.
Many of our Delivery Center Managers come from a retail environment that is steeped in both operations and customer service. They understand the nuances of product movement and how every role can affect inventory integrity. They are fully accountable to their locations P&L and manage top line delivered sales, controllable expenses, payroll (including overtime) and inventory integrity.
Lastly they are respectful of their surroundings. Not only do they lead an exceptionally clean and organized Delivery Center, they are also stewards of the environment and champion energy conservation, recycling and other activities that lesson our environmental impact.
Our most successful Delivery Center Managers bring a minimum of 8 to 10 years of location management experience in an operational or retail environment, or a logistics and shipping leadership role. They are natural relationship builders; enjoy managing others and ultimately serving our customer. They have an appreciation for design and the craftsmanship found in our American-made furniture.
