Nestled in New York City’s Lower East Side, The Rollins<\/a> is a new residential building that’s a community destination with its public plaza and playground. Residents enjoy a prime location in the heart of the new Essex Crossing<\/a> development, plus amenities like a kids’ playroom, dog wash station and rooftop lounge complete with Room & Board outdoor furniture.<\/p>\n

Designing for community spaces at The Rollins<\/h3>\n

K&Co<\/a> designed the community gathering spaces within the building, including the rooftop. “We wanted to give this outdoor space the same modern but timeless\u00a0and comfortable vibe we created in the building\u2019s lobby and\u00a0indoor amenities. The terrace furniture also needed to be functional and durable as we expected residents at The Rollins to get as much use out of it as our NYC weather would permit,” shares designer Kaleigh Atkins.<\/p>\n

Our\u00a0Montego outdoor furniture\u00a0fit the bill for the design plan. “Our team\u00a0loved the Montego collection, which met all of our criteria with its dark metal framing in clean, simple shapes and soft canvas cushions,” explains Kaleigh.<\/p>\n
