What\u2019s your favorite Room & Board piece?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Our Parsons<\/a> table\/desk collection is my favorite for sheer versatility. It is used in university dining halls, libraries, offices, kitchens, bathrooms, sports clubs\u2014you name a location and you\u2019ll find it there. Plus 99% recycled steel and made in Minnesota\u2014an all-around winner.<\/p>\n

What types of projects are your favorite to work on?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I enjoy projects with strong collaborative elements where clients have a vision and need help in translating it into reality.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What was your first inkling that you were destined to design? <\/strong><\/h2>\n

When I was a kid, I spent more time rearranging the furniture in my Barbies\u2019 home than playing with the dolls themselves. My dad was also always rearranging our home in unconventional ways; that really lit a spark in my brain and taught me that a room can be whatever you want it to be.<\/p>\n

What types of projects are your favorite to work on?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I love to work on design projects for small-to-medium-size workspaces, where I am working with my client to select both the functional work surfaces and spaces where the team can relax, plus the spaces that define the company\u2019s brand.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What was your first inkling that you were destined to design? <\/strong><\/h2>\n

When I was in my early teens, my parents were one of the original house flippers. During the 70s we lived in seven different houses within eight years, and I would do layouts of how I wanted my bedroom to look.<\/p>\n

What drew you to the Project Coordinator role?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I started my career at Room & Board on the residential side, and I always felt that there should be a way to work with designers and business customers, separately from the residential customers. So when we started Business Interiors, it was a great fit for me. I enjoy working with designers and a wide array of business customers to get the right product for their spaces.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What drew you to the Project Coordinator role? <\/strong><\/h2>\n

The beauty and quality of the Room & Board collection.<\/p>\n

What experience, piece of advice or lesson learned the hard way has been the most formative in the way you think about designing?<\/h2>\n

Always keep in mind the flow and function of a space when you begin a design project.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favorite room or space to design?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Hospitality and office spaces.<\/p>\n

What experience, piece of advice or lesson learned the hard way has been the most formative in the way you think about designing?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Educate the customer to the extent you can and explain why you make the decisions you do for the project. It’s also important to find out what is driving the project; quality, budget or deadline.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favorite Room & Board piece?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Kenwood<\/a> collection. It is such a beautiful collection and we have the option to add a ceramic top which is great for heavy use applications.<\/p>\n

What drew you to Room & Board?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

As a kid, I was always moving the furniture around in my bedroom and looking at the Sears catalog to \u201cpick out\u201d my next set of bedding (which I was never getting). \u00a0Also, we would rearrange the furniture in our living room every spring and every fall.\u00a0 The funny thing is, I never do that anymore!\u00a0 I find the best spot and that is where it stays.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Since the pandemic started, I have been setting aside at least 20 minutes a day for some type of yoga practice. I immediately noticed a positive effect on my ability to cope with all the new challenges I have been facing. I am a much better person for taking this time each day to re-center myself. Yoga is definitely one thing I could not go a day without.<\/p>\n

What types of projects are your favorite to work on? <\/strong><\/h2>\n

I love working in all commercial spaces, but I think my favorite is multi-use office spaces. I love intermixing workspace furnishings and soft seating.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favorite Room & Board piece?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Cade<\/a> sofa and Paris<\/a> chair.<\/p>\n

What drew you to the Project Coordinator role?<\/h2>\n

The desire to help people fall in love with their space.<\/p>\n
