Room & Board has always been a people-first company and we're responding to COVID-19 in the same way. All of our decisions are made to protect the safety of our customers and staff members and help slow the spread of the virus. We're committed to serving you while keeping everyone safe.

Delivery FAQ

How are you making full-service delivery safe?

We've changed our delivery procedures with your safety in mind. Our Delivery Associates sanitize their hands, gloves, truck interiors and door handles, and tools before each delivery. They also wear a mask and gloves and maintain six feet of distance from you. Watch our delivery safety video to see what you can expect. No-contact delivery is available upon request. If anyone in your household is ill, we respectfully ask that you request no-contact delivery or schedule your delivery for a later date. We will hold your items at no additional cost to you.

How long will I have to wait for delivery?

Our current wait for full-service delivery is 1-5 weeks depending on your location. As a people-first company, we temporarily closed our delivery operations in March to slow the spread of COVID-19 and put new safety procedures in place. We're working as quickly as possible to serve customers who experienced a delay during our closure and deliver new orders. As you're shopping, please enter your zip code to see accurate delivery lead times based on your location.

What items can be shipped to me via UPS?

We ship via UPS for items like office chairs, dining chairs, bedding and other decor. Larger pieces, like sofas or dressers, cannot be shipped through UPS because of their size and the risk of damage.

Can I pick up my order from your delivery center?

Yes, you may pick up your order from your local delivery center using our no-contact process. In many cases this is faster than scheduling full-service delivery. Please contact us to place an order for pick-up or switch an existing order to pick-up; this option is not available online. When you arrive, you'll see a sign with additional instructions. We'll have you stay in your vehicle while we load your items. Please bring blankets and tie-downs as not all items are boxed or wrapped. Watch our to learn more.

Are your stores open?

What are your store safety procedures?

For everyone's health and safety, wearing a mask or face covering is required while shopping at our stores and outlets. Even though local mandates may vary, we feel it is in everyone's best interest to protect each other by wearing a mask. Masks are not required for children under the age 2 or people unable to wear a mask due to a medical condition.

We also ask that you:

  • Practice social distancing during your visit
  • Do not bring food or beverages into our stores
  • Leave your pets at home

Are you limiting the number of customers in your stores?

We may occasionally need to limit the number of customers in our stores to maintain social distancing. Scheduling a free design services appointment ensures you can shop at a time that works for you without having to wait.

Are you offering free design services?

Yes, free design services are available in person at our stores or from the comfort of your home by phone or virtual video conference. Schedule an appointment to get started.
