The goal
Jones Road Beauty, Bobbi Brown’s fast-growing clean cosmetics company, outgrew its original office and needed furniture for a new space quickly. Bobbi, who has been a Room & Board customer for years, turned to us to outfit her new office space, sharing, “Room & Board is the perfect brand that really understands design and function.”
The office is located in a renovated auto shop which lent itself to furniture that has a similarly raw, yet refined quality. Bobbi and her team also wanted pieces that felt more personal and less like typical office furniture.
The process
To kick off the project, Bobbi and her team met with Business Project Manager Joseph Stodola in our Chelsea, New York, store to see furniture, fabrics and finishes in person. Bobbi loves a modern look with an industrial twist and our designs can provide both. “Room & Board has figured out a way to make more homey office furniture and still be really efficient,” noted Bobbi.
After the initial meeting, Bobbi’s team connected with Joseph through email, video meetings and a site visit. Bobbi’s strong sense of what she likes helped the decision-making process go quickly and smoothly. Joseph created mood boards, floor plans and renderings to help bring the team’s vision to life.
On delivery day, the floor plans were also used to help the delivery team efficiently place pieces in the correct rooms.
The result
The modern furniture chosen for the space seamlessly ties back to the clean, simple ethos of Jones Road Beauty. The team was able to design an environment that is both functional and supports their creative work.
