How to Decorate with Grey
We love grey. (Also: donuts, sunshine and our pets, but I digress.) Grey done right makes any room feel modern and inviting. See how shades of stone, fog and shale liven up the rooms below. Spoiler alert: The secret is the mix of materials, tones and textures.
The Wallace rug in grey brings in extra texture and it just feels good to walk on. The variegated coloring helps anchor the room.
Tone-on-tone layering provides serene sophistication in this bedroom. To get this look we started with silky, smooth Sateen sheets then added subtle texture with a cozy Washable Wool blanket and matching Euro sham. It’s all set off with the Grove bed and nightstands in rich walnut.
Ava dining chairs in a subtly patterned charcoal fabric set the mood for this room. Kilim-inspired fabric on the Kavya bench continues the grey color scheme with added visual interest. Finally, stainless steel Brixton bar cart and Infinity mirror bring brighter grey tones to the space.

Could you share an article on how to mix different woods? Example we have walnut floors that have turned reddish and I feel like I’m stuck with painted white furniture, glass or metal.
That’s a great idea, Melisa! We will add an article about mixing woods in the near future. In the meantime, know that we love to mix woods to create a room with personality and life. For example, darker floors pair nicely with lighter wood furniture, and repeating the lighter wood at least twice in a room helps it feel intentional. Adding a rug can also help bridge the difference in wood tones. Hope this helps.
I love gray! My living room is very light gray walls with gray R&B furniture and my accent colors are Aqua and orange. I also have the R&B Aqua steel coffe table. My kitchen has gray walls (not a lot) with natural stone tile and one bathroom has gray tile with one wall being glass tile with gray and Aqua colors in it.
Your home sounds lovely, Leslie. Aqua pops so nicely against grey! (We’d love to see your pics in our Customer Photo Gallery.)
Awesome home decor color. I loved it very much. It looks very beautiful and amazing. You can also add some Mandala Tree Of Life Tapestry for wall hangings. It will give a unique look to your room. Thanks for sharing.
