When Scarlett Johansson and Kate Foster joined forces as co-founders of The Outset, a clean beauty brand, they envisioned an office space that embodied the values of the female-founded company.
A Welcoming Space
Kate reached out to us to describe the simple and minimal workspace they had in mind. They imagined an inviting and collaborative atmosphere, drawing inspiration from Scandinavian design. Our warm, modern furniture was a seamless match for their vision.
With a New York loft feel, the office is equal parts refined and relaxed. Our Foshay bookcase works well as a display piece, echoing the brand’s simple, chic packaging. Below, the lobby welcomes visitors with a comfy bench and a place to hang coats.
Every item strikes perfect balance between simplicity and warmth, with earthy tones and natural textures. “I love the Pren desk that is in our shared office. It’s such a gorgeous piece that makes me happy when I sit at it every day,” says Kate.
Through their thoughtful design choices, Johansson and Foster created a space that encourages collaboration and underscores the brand’s ethos of simplicity. The Outset’s office space inspires creativity now and will continue to do so in the future.
