What staples do you always keep stocked in your pantry?

I share all of our pantry staples in our cookbook, but a few favorites include: olive oil, balsamic vinegar, canned beans, pasta, quinoa, San Marzano tomatoes, garlic, nut butters, and obviously all of the essentials to bake cookies.

What’s your go-to recipe when you’re short on time?

We love taco night or breakfast for dinner.

On your blog, you mentioned you and your husband catered your own wedding. What was on the menu?

We had a Greek inspired spread: chicken and vegetable kebabs, lemon rice, Greek salad, hummus and pita bread, fruit platters…and of course, LOTS of dessert. I baked all of my favorite cookies and treats and we had a gelato bar…and a wedding cake because tradition 🙂

Do your kids like to cook with you?

Absolutely! They are my best taste testers and always keep things entertaining.

You have over 200 cookie recipes on your site (!!!), which one is your favorite?

That is a tough question, I have too many favorites and it depends on my mood. The Chocolate Chip Cookies in our book are perfection! I also love the Brown Butter Salted Caramel Snickerdoodles, especially during the holidays, and my Dad’s Frozen Cookies are a family favorite, very nostalgic for me.

If you could host your dream dinner party, who would make the guest list?

Michelle Obama, Stephen and Ayesha Curry, Connie Britton, Tom Brady, and Taylor Kitsch…and all of my family and friends! The more the merrier!

The best meal you ever had was…

It’s too hard to narrow it down to just one, but when I went to Italy I felt like every meal was the best!

When/where did your interest in cooking begin?

I grew up cooking and baking with my dad. He makes the most incredible cinnamon rolls, the recipe is in the book, make sure you try them. You can thank me later 🙂

When you’re not in the kitchen, how do you like to spend your time?

I love spending time with my family, exercising, watching Netflix, reading, and visiting farmers markets.

Do you have a favorite recipe from the Two Peas & Their Pod cookbook?

Another tough question, I really love all of the recipes in the book and can’t pick a very favorite, but I am currently craving the Pesto-Havarti Mac and Cheese so let’s go with that one. It is the ultimate comfort food! Kids and adults love this one.
