Inclusive Makers Initiative
Our Approach to Inclusive Procurement
We started our Inclusive Makers Initiative in 2021. This program underscores our commitment to providing opportunities to U.S. craftspeople of diverse backgrounds by looking for ways to support new and growing businesses owned or led by underrepresented communities.
By reducing barriers for potential partners, we aim to create a more inclusive business environment while also encouraging innovation and driving economic development for U.S. craftspeople and their communities.
Who Is This For?
- We define underrepresented communities as businesses that are veteran owned/led, woman owned/led, ethnic or minority owned/led, LGBTQ+ owned/led or classified as a small business.
- We are seeking U.S. manufacturers and makers that align with our design aesthetic.
- We are prioritizing products in home decor such as art, lighting, storage and organization.
Why Work With Us?
We offer vendor onboarding to share expectations and support the orientation process.
We also offer support through advanced planning of sales orders, flexible order quantities and shipping handled by Room & Board transportation.
