Climate Commitments

We are striving to be carbon neutral in our operations. That’s a bold statement, so we’re setting the foundation now to make big strides in the next decade.

Renewable Electricity

We plan to reach 100% renewable electricity use in our operations by 2030.

Currently, we are at over 70% renewable electricity in our stores, warehouses and central office.

Greenhouse Gas Reduction

We will achieve a 50% reduction of scope 1 & 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions compared to our 2019 GHG emissions. A timeline and comprehensive plan to reach this goal are in the works.

Electric Delivery Vehicles

We are working to electrify our delivery fleet, starting with a pilot program in California. Hybrid trucks have been a part of our fleet since 2017.

Operational Waste

Our delivery centers have robust donation and recycling programs, and work with our manufacturing partners to reuse items like pallets. We divert 83% of our operational waste from landfills. We plan to reach 90% diversion of our operational waste by 2030.

Recyclable Packaging

Right now, we are working with vendors to design packaging made with more sustainable materials and that’s easy for you to recycle.

Our goal is 100% recyclable packaging by 2025.
