This lighting fixture is absolutely beautiful and you can see the care that went into the creation. The 5 globe set completely transforms a dining room and modernized the look and feel of the room

This is really is a beautiful artisan-made fixture and I like the fact it looks like a piece of art. The hand blown shades are sculptural and the ceiling pan is modern looking. However... there are just so many issues with this fixture given the expense. First- it is very difficult to install. We read the reviews and followed others advice and our own experience. This was a vast improvement over the directions. Second, we only received two bulbs for three sockets. It took two rounds of bulbs to come close but really doesn't match the first two. it is a cooler colored bulb and to my eyes, obvious. Third, we ordered clear glass and it is somewhat glaring. I would definitely order either a colored glass or sandblasted option (if that is offered.) Fourth, the hand blown shades don't hang completely straight. They are close... but not quite right. There isn't anyway to fix them. It is a matter of balance in the weight and being handmade, they simply are off by a tad. Finally, we repainted our ceiling this fall and the way this fixture is designed, it is nearly impossible to paint around it, even when it is taken down. Really, to do it right, you have to actually remove the entire fixture including the wiring. We're cheating by using one of my tiny art brushes to clean up the edges. So- bottom line. Very handsome fixture but buyer beware. You have to really want it and be willing to live with the challenges. I'm sorry to write all this- sorry we paid so much, sorry that we had these issues. Generally everything we have ever purchased from Room and Board has been superior and without problems (well, there are those metal tables that scratch so easily ;-) And we very much appreciate being able to buy U.S. made products.

I installed the 3-pendant fixture over my dining room table and love it. Installation went well, as long as you have a plan. Install recommendations... 1. Know what height and orientation that you want to hang the individual pendants. Start with tape measure from the ceiling to determine a max and minimum height for the highest and lowest pendant... heights that provide good visual appeal for your particular space and note the measurements. 2. Unwrap and thoroughly clean all the pendant bulbs. 3. Install the mounting bracket to the ceiling box. 4. On an even surface, like a counter or table, Individually route the hanging cords through the hang points on the ceiling canopy... using your previous measurements secure the upper and lower pendants based on your previously determined measurements, using the cord stoppers provided. Then position the middle pendant at the desired height in between. 5. Tie cords in soft knot above cord closures. 6. Affix mounting base hanging rods on mounting bracket. 7. This next step takes two people... one person gets up on the ladder holding the ceiling canopy, while the second person stabilizes the pendant bulbs. The person on the ladder affixes the ceiling canopy to the mounting rods. The light is now hanging. 8. Person on the ground can double check mounting arrangement visuals. You can look at the pendant from different directions to decide, which orientation you like best. You can then make both height and rotation changes as needed by adjusting cord length and rotating the mounting. Keep in mind that the light fixture, when hanging on the rods is 6" lower than the final mounting position. Once positioning is confirmed, secure cord holders and snug up safety knots. 9. Connect power and push power connections back into the electrical box. 10. This next step takes two people, two ladders... one person centered under the fixture holds ceiling canopy tight to the mounting bracket. The other screws them together. 11. Turn on the power

Looks great but very dim light output.

We used the round set up in our wine room. Beware - handing five lights from the circular cover is very challenging. Two electricians, with help from my husband, worked over an hour to get it installed. Now that it's in place, the light is beautiful. Strick8ng but simple enough that it complements, not overshadows our art.

I love it. Perfect over my kitchen table. Better light output than expected. I did hire an electrician to install based on feedback from others.

I bought this classy hand blown light fixture to use over our beautiful Room & Board table. It's visually everything I hoped for. I did buy brighter brighter Dimmable LED bulbs. Overall I love this fixture and get lots of compliments on it. It was professionally installed and please note it was a difficult installation so be aware. Hence my 4-star rating.

This is actually for the three glow pendants on the rectangular plate (see service/delivery comments). After substantial research and indecision, we chose these after seeing them in the flesh in the San Francisco R&B store. With the exposed "Edison"-style bulbs, handblown glass globes and minimal black hardware, they offer an attractive combination of modern and retro design cues. The quality of light produced is particularly attractive for a dining area, although they are probably not bright enough to be the sole lighting in the room (we have recessed lighting around the edges of the room, and the combination works well). It would be nice if R&B offered a 5-globe option, which would balance better with a long dining table.
