Platform Board

The platform board for our King Hudson bedframe made our mattress feel very supportive, eliminated any movement or noise and we feel great in the morning or after a nap.

This platform board provides a solid, stable surface for a platform bed mattress and keeps the underside of the mattress from sagging in between the bed's lats. I bought it first earlier this year for my guest bedroom bed, and a month later, bought a second one for my main bedroom. #sweepstakes

This platform board is a must have from Room and Board. It makes bed making a breeze. I looked on other websites thinking they were all similar… but they aren't not. Room and Board only carries the best, well made platforms. I just placed another order for myself, for a Queen size one. Can't wait to receive it.

The platform board is exactly what my hybrid mattress needed. The slats alone couldn't provide adequate support for today's heavier mattresses, but this solved the problem completely.

The platform does its job. I only bought it because the mattress that I bought did not recommend using metal slats. But it helps provide a stable surface for the mattress.

I bought the platform because the slats on the bed were metal and my matress manufacturer did not recommend using metal slats. The platform does its job!

These boards give a solid foundation to the bed. The bed's slats are far enough apart that they would void some of the new mattresses' warranties. So, these boards solve that issue. They are heavy-duty with some foam on one side and fabric covering it. Once I took them out of the bag, I let them sit for a couple of days because they have a strong wood smell initially. That dissipates. They will also obviously raise the height of your mattress, so keep that in mind. They're well made and do the job.

Great addition to the Core bed. Bed-making is easier. Metal slats no longer squeak. I imagine the greater support will increase the longevity of my new mattress although time will tell. No noticeable smell, and my Dyson didn't detect any off-gassing. Bummer it only comes in ugly cold grey color. R&B bed frames are oversized by approximately 5" in the long direction which means it's visible when sheets are tucked in (less so with duvets during the winter season). So there should be color options to match a bed frame. At least black, warm grey and taupe.

Makes it so much easier to make the bed if slats are underneath the mattress. This covers those slats easily.

We are very glad we purchased the platform board for stability (the slats of the Nora King bed were wider than recommended for our mattress from another company). We believe it also helps with opening and closing the storage drawer as mentioned by other reviews, as well as making the bed.
