Good solution
Comments about Down Alternative Featherbed
Product is well made and fits the sofa bed perfectly. I liked the firmness of the sofa bed mattress but my brother found it a little too firm. This quilted mattress pad was the answer and he finds the added softness more comfortable. It's puffier than I expected so storage might be an issue. It also came with a cover which was a nice surprise.

Lumpy and uncomfortable. Plus mine had a stain
Comments about Down Alternative Featherbed
Nothing feather about this so-called feather bed. Bought it as a mattress-topper, to give plushness to the surface, but it was so hard and lumpy. Not sure why they went with this pattern and stitch. Highly do not recommend. Plus mine came with a suspicious red stain.
Returned and got a refund. Was dealt with promptly and in a pleasant manner.

Lasts longer than a year, if rotated!
Comments about Down Alternative Featherbed
Updating my other reviews. This actually lasts longer than a year as long as you rotate it every day after sleeping. I just flip it so that I rotate my feet with my head and each side. It has held up SO much better doing this. BEST BED TOPPER I HAVE EVER FOUND, and I have tried them all!

Lasts about a year
Comments about Down Alternative Featherbed
I'm updating earlier reviews. I've used this topper for approximately a year now (every night) and it's held up relatively well. Like most toppers, it does eventually get lumpy and probably needs to be replaced annually. The ones I've used previously only held up for 3-6 months, so this topper is better, in comparison. But, of course, it is slightly more expensive.

Added comfort to our pullout
Comments about Down Alternative Featherbed
I bought this topper in an effort to make our R&B Oxford platform pullout, which is quite firm for sleeping, more comfortable. The loft/width of the topper is substantial and it definitely does its intended job. I also love that it comes with a removable, washable cover.

Doesn't keep its shape
Comments about Down Alternative Featherbed
Not great if you want it even on both sides. Doesn't keep its form. Comfortable but becomes lumpy.

Very Comfy
Comments about Down Alternative Featherbed
I waited a few weeks to review so I could test the mattress topper. I'm a HOT sleeper and this keeps me cooler than my previous wool topper. This featherbed is very fluffy and too irregular looking just under the fitted sheet for my taste, so I put my mattress pad on top of it like I did with my old one, and the result worked better for me. I use to over an all latex mattress. Great choice to customize your mattress. #sweepstakes

This is AMAZING! Sleeps warm...
Comments about Down Alternative Featherbed
I am a (thin, female) back sleeper and need a lot of cushion to sleep well. I've searched for a "cushion-y" mattress topper for years, and they all fall flat after a few months (I'm 5'5, 125). I've tried wool & down alternative (never down). This is the first purchase that is SO THICK and SO QUALITY that I suspect it will hold up awhile. You could, literally, put it on the floor and sleep on it! It's THAT much cushion, which I LOVE!! I used it for a few hours last night and it was a DREAM. Literally. I fell asleep immediately (usually takes me 1-2 hours), and I slept SO WELL...until I woke up warm. Ugh! I sleep hot. And it was enveloping me to the extent that I wasn't getting enough airflow to my underside. The material itself wasn't hot (unlike memory foam which almost burns me!), but the hugging of the wonderful material was acting like a second blanket. I am SO SO SO SAD to return this! I would HIGHLY recommend it to those of you who don't sleep hot!!!!! So jealous of your ability to use this. I may try the 50/50 feather version next b/c I was really impressed w/the quality of R&B bedding and really want the cushion, but I probably need a more breathable material. I'm picky with down b/c I want it *certified* cruelty free & hypoallergenic, but I cant trust any other company's return policy. Room and Board has the BEST return policy/process (label comes in the package and UPS is the best), so I know I can order, with less stress.
UPS, which is the best. Box was slightly beat up but fine. Came a few days after ordering, which was GREAT!
