Linger

I did a LOT of research before even deciding on Room and Board for my living room couch. I'm lucky I live close by to the store in NYC so I was able to go in and sample the couches before buying. I was initially set on getting the Metro but it was just too deep for my 5'5 frame, and I felt like I was sinking in too much. The sales associate suggested I try the Linger instead and oh wow it was perfect and everything I hoped the Metro would be. It's lower and not very deep and it's perfect for my body. The support is comfortable and I don't feel like I'm sinking into it. I can sit comfortably with feet on the floor and a pillow for back support or I can lounge. The chaise is the best part, it's wide enough for two people to lie comfortably and relax. It's been a month and it still looks perfect!

This is my first purchase from Room&Board and did it blindly (no nearby showroom/store). I was initially torn between the Linger and the Metro. I initially placed the order in July of 2025 and received the item in Oct 2025. I have had it for a month so far as of this review. There was a mild off gassing smell but I didn't mind it one bit. The amount of support/cushion is well described and it was one of the reasons I chose the linger over the metro - it does not sink when sitting (not that I tried the metro but inferred it from reading description). It retains it's shape! No loose feathers like mentioned in other reviews. The color is true to fabric samples I received and pictures online. I did notice some threads coming out of the couch, and some snags on the fabric but nothing serious. Otherwise no big defects to where I'd need to return it. Overall, very pleased with this couch and I think it was worth the money and time it took to get here. #sweepstakes

I purchased this sofa in January, and when it arrived it was great. Since then every cushion and pillow has had issues with the feathers. They consistently poke me and shed out. When I called to see if there was a solutions, perhaps a cover for the interior cushions I was told no, that maybe I could vacuum them. I did try this but the number but it was a fail. The features stick to the interior fabric, and the only solution has been to pick them by hand. I have always loved Room and Board, and I have referred them often. I am very disappointed.

I bought this barely 4 months ago and it's already lumpy. The corner of the section is already much lower than the rest of the sofa, as hard as I try to fluff the bottom cushions back up. It's also less soft than the one on display at my local store. The price does not match the quality.

Love the Linger couch. It wasn't my first pick, but it did have the most versatile sizing and seating arrangements and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Yikes! This is the worst sofa I have ever owned, and my husband feels the same. It shed a ton when we first got it three years ago, and R&B was awesome, offering to replace the pillows and back cushions, but, alas, that didn't help because this is just a bad couch. It's my second from Room & Board and we are currently shopping for a new sofa as we are moving to a new apartment soon, and I want to go with R&B again, but I'm nervous!
