The design does not make sense
Comments about Butler 9 diam 2.5h Four Corners Bowl
The design does not make sense. The sectional profile is very thick rendering it disproportionately heavy on the eye, which is at odds with the playful qualities of the design. This is not helped by the fact that the edges are terminated orthogonally making the 1 1/4" thickness even more visually apparent than it actually is at 1 1/2". Furthermore, in plan the bowl is cut in a squircle (square + circle) shape that makes the edge undulate up and down in an attempt to create playfulness yet the effect falls flat as it simply draws even MORE attention to the elephantine thickness of the profile. Playfulness requires lightness. I'd recommend simply tapering the profile so as to become thinner towards the edges, ending at a delicate approx. 1/4" diameter filleted edge along the undulating perimeter. The edge has to be filleted as the depth of the edge will vary due to the geometry. I imagine this shape would be quite beautiful resembling abstracted flower petals.
Buy the Elliott bowl instead, your designer friends will thank you. It is similarly chunky in its profile but at least it is pure in its form making a convincing case for monolithicity.

I needed a catch all tray that fits the aesthetics of my entryway and I'm so glad that I found this bowl! The only thing that's worth noticing is that you wouldn't know what pattern you will receive (as it's natural wood) if you order online. So if you want to pick out a pattern yourself, it's better to go to a showroom to choose from the displays.

Sculptural Craftsmanship That Elevates the Entire Space
Comments about Butler 15 diam 5h Four Corners Bowl
This wooden bowl is even more beautiful in person than in photos. The craftsmanship is exceptional, with fluid, sculptural curves and a rich grain that catches the light beautifully. It feels substantial and refined — more like functional art than simple décor. A stunning piece that adds instant warmth and sophistication to the space.

Gorgeous Statement Piece
Comments about Butler 17 diam 6h Four Corners Bowl
Love this bowl! Adds warmth to my kitchen nook, and I am grateful that it is not as heavy as some of my other large wooden bowls. I will be using this strictly as decor, and might purchase the smaller size as well.
