The table is absolutely beautiful, just like all the other Room & Board furniture we have bought in past. However, unlike all other furniture we've bought from here, this one is not functional at all. It absorbs spills and stains like nothing we've ever seen before. It needs constant babysitting, else you'll see marks left behind. Cannot use this table without having a ton of placemats or a full table cover. We understand the need for coasters and wood care, but never has any other table we owned required this level of deep care. It's a rare miss from Room & Board, and a very expensive one for us at that.

Table is gorgeous, although it has a few marks where it looks like they added additional stain to the grain of the walnut. it's subtle, but visible.

Gorgeous table that elevated our space, with a feel that doesnt overwhelm the room. So much flexibility with the middle addition. love and would recommend to anyone!

If you actually plan to eat at this table -- or play games -- or work on homework -- or anything really -- know this: its finish is as delicate as dust. You can sneeze on it and it will leave a mark. Battle scars are to be expected. We had our previous table for close to twenty years, and it was well-worn. But after two meals, this Colby already had glaring marks on it that would be costly to repair. if you have any anxiety over water marks or silverware scratches or whatever, this isn't a table for you. And if you have kids, I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere. We received no warning about how fragile the finish was from the store when we were purchasing. Keep in mind that our disappointment is pronounced because we took two years to finally settle on this selection. We'll be taking the financial hit and returning ours, because we don't want to tip-toe around our table and police every meal for the next decade. To us, it's very beautiful to look at, but not at all functional. Oh, and one final note: we were told that the color could vary greatly, and that turned out to be true: our table was much more gray/ashen than the the floor model. Something to keep in mind if you have a strict dining room design palette.

The table is beautifully made—solid, sturdy, and built to last. The craftsmanship is really impressive, and the details in the construction stand out. The wood grain has more variation than I expected, with subtle touches of gray that make it feel unique in the best way. I couldn't be happier with it and would definitely recommend it. #sweepstakes

Such a beautiful table! I'm so happy to have an extension table to provide flexibility for family dinners. This one is absolutely gorgeous.

We absolutely love our new dining table. We have a family of 6 and it fits us comfortably. When my extended family comes over we can fit up to 10 people. It's beautifully crafted and we will keep this forever. High quality wood and finish!
