I have a large kitchen island and no kitchen table. Because of that, I needed counter height stools that are comfortable for sitting around the island and eating, playing games, or just visiting for long periods of time. I had specific requirements - a chair back that was high enough, chair arms and comfortable cushion. I looked a long time and found these. The look is modern and sleek and the comfort is great!! The height allows for the stool to be pushed almost completely under the island overhang as well.

Beautiful, comfortable solid wood counter stool. The walnut color is different from past purchases because of the use of a water based stain. It is not as honey colored. The seat fabric we originally chose did not look good with the new walnut wood. We were comparing samples to our older Afton Walnut stools which had "honeyed" in color. No problem. Excellent Room and Board Customer Service is exchanging the seat cushions for us in a color that is more suited to the tone of the wood. #sweepstakes

These counter stools are great. They fit under the counter and are comfortable too. A great look to our home.

Love these counter stools. Have the regular chairs in our house in the city and use these in the country. Both are comfortable, durable, clean, and so pleasant.

I love the visual interest of these stools. But looks aren't enough when it comes to counter stools. Especially when you're sitting in them every day for meals or work, they must be comfortable, too. These deliver! The wide seat is really comfortable and the back provides support without jabbing you in the middle of the back. As I hoped, the Fiero leather seats also coordinate well with the Metro sofa in Laino leather, which lives in the same space. #sweepstakes

We've had our stools for a few weeks now and we love them! We have received several complements from guests, specifically how comfortable they are. The walnut is a beautiful neutral tone and so far, the sumner fabric seems durable and easy to clean.

The Evan leather counter stool is absolutely beautiful in person. The design is clean, modern, and timeless, and the craftsmanship is exactly what I expect from Room & Board. The leather and wood finish feel high quality, and it elevates the entire space — I genuinely get compliments every time we have guests. My only complaint is the seat cushioning. While the stool looks fantastic, the seat could use a bit more padding for longer sits. It's perfectly fine for everyday use, but additional cushioning would make it truly exceptional. That said, the aesthetics alone almost make up for it. If you're looking for a stunning, well‑made counter stool and don't plan to sit for extended periods, this is an excellent choice.

#sweepstakes - I absolutely love this stool. It not only is beautiful but it is extremely comfortable. I probably sat in 50 stools before I found this one. It could not be more perfect for my space and the fabric is beautiful and durable. It is so well made and such a classic design, I think it will last a long, long time!

these stools are made to LAST!!!! Gorgeous just like the pictures. My favorite part is that the "arms" are at a height and tapered at the end to exactly tuck under a standard height countertop island.

Love the look and the sturdiness. Was worried with my young kids who are climbers, but these don't tip and wipe clean easily.
