Spent a long time looking for something that would compliment the mid-mod aesthetic in my house, in a recently renovated part of my kitchen. I have a bunch of 80s casework that I can't afford to replace for a while, and this void where the washer and dryer used to be. Turns out this custom color metal perfectly complements the mid mod greens in my place, and the walnut blends perfectly with other finishes, without competing with the rest of the kitchen palette. And the assymetry of the piece really gives it just enough "googie" aesthetic to work formally with everything else in the place. #sweepstakes

The look is amazing! We love it however the frame is bent and so the top does not touch in every point. We were told to wait a month and see if it settles. It has not changed. We were told they were having trouble with the manufacture. I'm sure when we reach exactly a month they will replace the frame.

I'm very pleased with the counter table with narrow shelves. It's meets my storage needs (I put baskets on the shelves) and is exactly what l wanted. It's stylish and and very sturdy. I opted for the glass top and added a clear table cover to prevent the top from getting scratched.

This fits our small kitchen perfectly and gives it a little update. Love that there is some extra storage. The finish is a little sensitive, so we are careful not to drag anything across it.

I got this for an eat-in kitchen with some barstools. It complements my countertop perfectly, is comfortable to sit at, keeps my cookbook collection stored close by and is still compact. I look forward to also using it as extra workspace for bigger baking projects. Perfect for my small city kitchen.

Awesome design, great compact size and super functional, but the maple top is bowed and does not sit flush with the shelving base. Contacted R+B, who said they will replace the top in January; hope it goes smoothly and sits properly once it's "fixed" -- stay tuned ...

Love the design of this kitchen island. The staggered shelving is the reason why I bought this. I was a little worried that storing things on it would look cluttered, but it doesn't. On it, I keep my giant cutting board, mixing bowls, kitchen aid mixer, salad bowl and brewing kombucha. Looks great and everything is easy to reach. The one downside is that it shows watermarks and just about everything else. I am also afraid of scratching it, so I remove things from the shelves very carefully. This doesn't really bother me much since the piece is perfect in every other way. Oh, one last thing is that I started with walnut butcher block and switched it out to the marbled quartz. Customer service was great about this exchange and were easy on the phone. The butcher block has narrow planks, which makes it harder to see the beautiful wood grain that is a key feature in R&B's furniture. The quartz is gorgeous.

Photos and description match to the in person experience! Delivery experience was excellent also. Fits well in a high end kitchen with granite and marble counters nearby, without being as heavy or expensive. Downside- as someone who was used to a fixed prep island that didn't shake as I chop and slice, this one shakes a bit. It's not a deal breaker, though because this product is unique in fitting in with other beautiful finishes in the same room at half the cost of similar products.
