Parsons Leg

I love this table as a desk. Not sure I would use it as a dining table at this price point. The wood is lovely and I purchased the salt stain oak. I am a big R&B fan for quality and customer service.

I bought this to use as a desk so it's a bit smaller than our dining room table, turned out to be just the right size. I love the lighter look of the parsons legs

I ordered two identical tables in one order and therefore assumed they would be similarly constructed. However, the placement of the legs between the two tables varies, as you can see in the attached picture. One of the tables has legs much closer to the edge than the other. As a result, they don't look great next to each other. While the finishes are nice, product consistency can be improved. Don't order more than one if you had intended to place them next to each other.

We love how unique it is, and how many options Room & Board offered in terms of leg finishes and sizes. I use this as a desk in my small-ish home office. I love the clean lines. I didn't have the space for a larger work area, which I'd have preferred. But this holds a large monitor, my keyboard, and a reasonable amount of space for taking hand-written notes. It looks great! #sweepstakes

I use this as my primary home-office desk. It's very sturdy, with nice legs and a sunken steel frame. From prior reviews I was concerned there would be visible stiffeners, but they've all been sunk into the bottom of the tabletop. The walnut finish is great... on the top. However, the bottom of the desk is extremely rough, like it wasn't sanded at all. Where the steel stiffeners were added, they didn't even file off the wood debris, so there is rough and splintery wood under there too (although, the whole bottom is unacceptably rough). You won't necessarily see it, but this is a desk, and your legs are under it all the time! It's so rough my pants and sweaters are getting caught on it constantly. Literally 10 minutes of effort in the shop could have fixed it; it's such an egregious fault that would be so easily resolved that I have to believe somebody just skipped a step in the manufacturing process. It's bad enough that I think I'll need to take a weekend to get some sandpaper and a tarp and fix it myself. For a $2k furniture purchase I wouldn't have thought I'd need to fix the finishing errors myself, but here we are. I've always loved R&B quality but I'm really quite disappointed here.

After reading the reviews I was worried about wobbling but I bought this as my new home office desk anyways. It's so much better than I expected. No wobbling, sturdy and great durability, height and size are perfect for a double monitor setup. Really recommend.
