An otherwise great product with ikea grade hinges
Comments about Slim 34w 15d 72h Bookcase
I would not hesitate to recommend this product, as long as it is configured without the inserts that have doors. The inserts with doors use substandard hinges that slam loudly when they self-close. I am currently deciding whether to return the shelving unit and finding something else, or replacing the hinges myself. As delivered, this product does not meet Room and Board brand standards. We have numerous other Room and Board pieces that are excellent and appropriately represent the quality and aesthetics that a customer shopping in this tier expects.

Lightweight but sturdy
Comments about Slim 34w 15d 72h Bookcase
I got the bookcase for my 10 year old's bedroom. We put all the Legos she built on the shelves and they look great! I like how sleek and sturdy the bookcase is.

Overpriced
Comments about Slim 15w 15d 72h Bookcase
This piece looks great and the powder coated metal is finished nicely but the wood is not! Its neither sanded well or varnished evenly. It was delivered with a mottled cabinet front (which was quickly replaced) but speaks to poor quality control. I wouldnt buy from room and board again - no craftsmanship!

Well constructed and solid
Comments about Slim 34w 15d 72h Bookcase
Shelf is well constructed and seems solid. The powder coat finish is not even though so if you look close there are finish I imperfections. For what this shelving unit cost I would expect much better finish.

Love these bookshelves.
Comments about Slim 34w 15d 72h Bookcase
These bookshelves are perfect for our small rental. They hold all our books, photos and art pieces. They are strong enough to hold heavy books and light enough to move around easily. The fact that cabinets can be added at a later time was a top selling point.
The delivery service was impeccable.
