Corbett

We've only had this for a couple of weeks but every professional that has come through can't believe how great the quality is. A carpenter making this would have been twice the price. So far, it's stood up to 2 kids, food, and a bunch of drawing.

I waited months for this table, only to find upon delivery that it was tragically warped. Too bad, because the materials seem great, and I really wanted to keep this table - the color I ordered is no longer in production.

Solid, beautiful, and perfect size. Luxury wood and fine Craftsmanship...

Beautiful and solid. Just what i expected!

Couldn't be happier with my table. It is an elegant, timeless design that I look forward to cherishing for decades. Top notch quality. #sweepstakes

We loved the look of this table when we purchased it for our formal dining room. The walnut is a beautiful finish and the table is a classic shape. But the wood is SO soft. We have used the table 3 total times since purchasing it in October, and there are small pits in the table in places where people have (gently!) placed a fork or other item. There is a large scratch from an uneven object being placed on it. We use placemats and hot plates, but any light tap seems to indent the wood. We're devastated at how fragile this table is, especially for how solid it *looks*. I would not purchase again, and we regret buying this very expensive table.

I've had many DR tables but none as high quality and beautiful as this Corbett table. It is so well made, very sturdy. Got it in walnut and it is gorgeous. You know how you have second thoughts after you order something. Now that it is in my DR I have no doubt that this was the perfect table for us and our DR.

I absolutely love this table- quality seems incredible. The white oak wood is beautiful. The extension feature is great- table is heavy and solid- we just got it but it seems ready to last generations. I debated on this and a lower cost item from another store and don't regret spending the extra money at all- we are enjoying family time around the table- from meals to games to conversations, and I expect this to be the centerpiece of many great gatherings with friends and family over the years. We are happy with this purchase and makes me want to continue to purchase from Room and Board.

I purchased this table in 2016 and from the start I started to see problems. Easily marred and over time the top got VERY "Shiny". Let me preface this with saying that I have furnished 2 Business offices and 3 homes with R&B Furniture for the past 20 years and have had practically zero issues. Last year I contacted R&B to ask if I could purchase the stain for my Charcoal Maple Corbett Table so I could have the top refinished and was told and I quote "The stain is exclusive to Room & Board, and we developed it in partnership with our vendor. The formula is proprietary information...sorry". I was floored. After spending a fortune over the years this is how I was treated.

I purchased this table in white oak and recommend others do the same. Being a woodworking enthusiast, white oak is my favorite wood for highly-used furniture. It is durable and resists moisture. Some reviewers reported issues with surface scratches but I believe most went with a stain finish. White oak will be the most durable option, followed by maple with a natural finish. Maple is also a strong wood and is a good option for those wanting a lighter color. Before purchasing this table, I compared it with others from well known retailers. Most were imported pieces that have solid wood bases and veneer table tops. You can save a lot of money up front with imported furniture but they probably will not last as long. I hope to hold onto this table for decades. My only minor complaint is that I wish there were more width options.
