I love this unique, handmade piece. I use it as an art object on my dining room table.

It's round and made out of stone to give it that bowl look. Way too heavy to put popcorn or chips in it. But for some reason we still needed this bowl. I'm allowed to look at but not allowed to use it. I do believe it's perfect for a game size portion of salsa but that idea is not popular with others. Oh, and it's heavy.

This is the kind of huge solid stone which I was looking for to add some gravitas to my living room. #sweepstakes

Who knew soapstone also comes in light varieties? The bowl is lovely and it ships with a card signed by its Kenyan creator, explaining the fair trade enterprise through which it's sourced by Room&Board. Unfortunately, not all pieces of soapstone are created equal. So, be prepared to receive a bowl that appears nearly all white – without all the interesting graining in the product photos. Still nice, but a little less special.

Recommend room and board to add more pictures of variations. Has small holes due to natural stone

Great looking bowl and very heavy! It really looks good on our coffee table. #sweepstakes

a few imperfections. Not as represented in photo.

This bowl is gorgeous. I purchased it for my dining room table and couldn't be happier. The colors highlight the wood in both my table and buffet. The bowl is very heavy and its unique design stands out from other run-of-the-mill decorative bowls. I love the fact that the artisan is identified!

On my coffee table.

Love the story card that comes with it.
