I paired the dark chairs with a lighter table and love it! Chairs are lightweight, and have butt dimples for comfort.

I recently updated my well-loved metal & fabric combination dining chairs with six Thatcher beauties, coordinating them with my existing non-Room&Board table . I am beyond delighted with how simple yet very high quality they are. They are so comfortable, gorgeous & very easy to slide away from / towards the table. The classic spindle design really opens up the spatial appearance around my table. These chairs have noticeably elevated my entire dining area - in fact in my open concept home they have positively impacted my kitchen, living room & front foyer as well! My family is truly spending more time enjoying meals & conversation around our table now.

This is simply a well made chair. I have two of them and they are really lovely to sit in. The attention to detail in the craftsmanship makes it feel classic but elevated. #sweepstakes

We were hesitant to buy based off of other reviews but are glad we bought 2 to go with our new table. Chair seems a little lightweight and our dog has already scratched the seat after having it for only a few weeks.

I love these chairs for how refined they are compared to other spindle style chairs you can find online. You can tell up close the chairs have a stain vs. paint. We have kids, but are very careful to wipe up spills with a microfiber damp cloth and use the chair pads. Haven't had any issues with quality after over a year of regular use.

These chair look great, from a silhouette point of view. But as you get closer, they've failed to withstand the rigors of even gentle use by two adults, no kids. Purchased at the end of 2020, and they're so dinged up at this point I've given up on the furniture marker the delivery driver provided to cover use marks. Love R&B and will continue to buy their products, but this finish on these chairs is subpar considering the price.

I was looking for a quality dining chair for our open-concept dining area-- my requirements were: 1. easy to clean 2. quality material 3. comfortable and 4. not-too-formal but not-too-casual. These fit the bill! I had previously used one of the Thatcher chairs as my desk chair. I love that these chairs are made in Vermont, too. So much better than buying mass-produced products from overseas. #sweepstakes

We love the comfort of these chair and the built in felt on the bottom is great. Unfortunately, in less than a year they looked not great and writing this review 4 years later they look terrible. Nicks everywhere, the charcoal stain is coming off in way too many places, and the Ali does are loose. After the first year when I asked room and board to replace them they turned their nose up at me and said "this is fine furniture and should be treated as such." I'm sorry but this is a dining chair meant for everyday use!

I absolutely love the style and finish of these chairs, however I'm very disappointed in the quality. In less than a year, the spindles in one of the chairs started pulling out of the chair. In less than 2 years, we have had issues with three of the four chairs. One has a completely broken spindle, and two chairs have very loose spindles that are not holding up. At first I wondered if we were just hard on furniture, but our last kitchen chairs were from pottery barn and lasted over 24 years with no issues. If you are going to use these chairs on a daily basis, I would not recommend them - they will not hold up to the use.

I absolutely love this modern farmhouse chair! It is comfortable as well as stylish and is the chair my dining table has been waiting for it's whole life!! So durable and has a great finish. Fantastic all around! Would purchase this item again. #sweepstakes
