Carlton

The furnitures were well made. I got a small scratch on the leg and when I emailed my agent she responded right away.

I love the very wide seat (as does my dog; we sit side by side with plenty of room)!

We needed a chair that would complement our current furnishings, be comfortable for long periods while reading, and stand up to our cat, who clawed our old leather chair. Color was the limiting fabric factor because we needed something in the turquoise blue range. The design team at R&B was very helpful regarding fabric durability for cats. Everyone recommended Sumner, and I preferred it myself. However, we decided on the Windsor cloud velvet because of the color. This is not a performance fabric and velvet is not something that I would normally choose, but it is supposedly one of the best fabrics for cats because it is too dense to be attractive. So far, he has not shown any interest in clawing it! The fabric looks beautiful on the chair and in our room. It is a lovely soft color and the velvet has a nice feel. I was worried that it might seem to hot in the summer, but that has not been an issue. The chair is wide and deep, more like a chair and a half. The seat cushion is pleasantly firm and the seat height is comfortable for both me (5 foot seven) and my husband (6 feet). The back cushion is supportive without seeming hard. Both cushions are reversible, which is a big plus. As far as size, I need to add a decorative cushion behind my back for the right depth, and I also find the arms too far apart to use. However, my husband is somewhat heavy and likes to slouch. He thinks the size is perfect and always uses the arms. I bought it for his daily use and am very pleased, as he is picky regarding comfort. We have had the chair for three weeks, so I can't speak to longevity.

I bought this as part of my home office re-model and it is a beautiful chair. Fabric is gorgeous, looks great with Lind Ottoman and Linear Cabinet. Couldn't be more pleased. #sweepstakes

We didn't plan to buy this chair walking into the store. But after sitting on it, it was very comfortable and the design is very good. #sweepstakes

Unfortunately, 6 weeks after delivery and the cushions continue to be problematic and uncomfortable. The back cushion keeps going back deep at the bottom and jutting out up top, so every single time I sit I have to reach my hand under the bottom of the back cushion and pull it forward....a design problem. Also the back cushion keeps wanting to revert into a round shape so I am constantly fighting it to keep it more rectangular. While the chair still LOOKS lovely, I really regret this purchase due to how uncomfortable it is and how much fidgeting is needed.

Bought this with matching chair - both are stellar. Ottoman is a decent size - not too bit but big enough that people sometimes sit on it (hard to do on the small square ones). Not super heavy but well made. Added pads to feet to keep from sliding too much

We love this chair. It is much higher quality than many we saw at other stores and the fabric is awesome. The wait time was not insignificant, but good things come to those who wait I suppose.

I originally ordered the Carlton chair and sectional sofa prior to switching out for the Metro. Even though I measured the room prior to ordering, the Carlton set is really better suited for a smaller space, and it looked small in my Kitchen/Dining/Living open concept. I would recommend this style for smaller apartments or living rooms. Also, for smaller people. My husband is 5'11 and he felt the cushion length on the seat just wasn't as long as he would have liked to be really comfortable. This is probably easily remedied with the ottoman though, if you have the space! That said, the legs and profile are very stylish. The height off the ground is practical if you have little kids who like to put their toys under the sofa - they're easy to collect. The cushions are medium-firm, and they come nice and overstuffed, but break in easily after a few days. The fabric (I ordered the Conley Navy) was very durable. The back cushions are easy to make look fluffy again - just turn it around and good as new. We had the set two weeks and got plenty of complements on it during the timeframe. #sweepstakes

The color is a great neutral, lighter than it appeared on my screen. It's not too big for my small space, but big enough to lounge in.
