Works well in my office
Comments about Lantern Wall Sconce
I bought this sconce for my office and hung next to my desk. Easy to hang, lamp is well constructed and looks high quality. Deducted one star because the chain pull mechanism is not smooth and you have to pull very hard in order for the chain to move across the metal brace. The first time I pulled the chain the entire metal rod came off of the chain. I was able to push it back on but this would continue to break off with each pull. I had to put a smart bulb in the lamp so I could turn on and off with my phone instead. Not as convenient but is an okay solution.

Perfect wall sconce
Comments about Lantern Wall Sconce
This is a great wall sconce...planning to buy a second one. I had a hard time finding an attractive plug-in wall sconce, but this fit the bill perfectly. It has a thoughtful design, including that there's no switch on the cord, meaning the cord can easily be covered. I'm very happy with this beautiful light! #sweepstakes

I'm really happy with it. Looks terrific, very easy to hang. It doesn't look like a typical plug in sconce!

My pros and cons
Comments about Lantern Wall Sconce
Purchased 2 plug-in wall sconces for bedside. The handcrafted metal portion of the lamp appears well made, installation was a breeze. I love the fact that I can easily turn the light off/on from the hanging pull switch while in bed rather than a wall mounted switch. For the price I find the lamp shade of inferior quality and the box it came in was marked as "Made in China".
Both lamps were delivered with stained shades and missing the hardware to attached the shade to the lamp. Customer service was excellent. Replacement shades and missing hardware where delivered within a week.

Comments about Lantern Hardwire Wall Sconce
Although this wall sconce is attractive and well constructed, it is extremely expensive for a fixture that is undimmable. I would not purchase this product again.

Beautiful, but poor mechanical design
Comments about Lantern Hardwire Wall Sconce
We purchased two of these for our master BR four or five years ago. They look great, but the chain pull switches are very hard to pull. Eventually the pull handles break off the chain (three different times now over the years) and they can't be repaired, only replaced. Manufacturer has sent replacement handles, but it's the poor alignment of the pull chain that's the problem. Beautiful and stylish, but poorly designed mechanically. Repeatedly, the manufacturer doesn't or won't recognize the problem.
We love Room & Board and the staff, and have purchased much of our home furnishings from them. But this product has it's flaws.
