Tandem

We live in an apartment with concrete ceilings, which make installing any new permanent light fixtures next to impossible. The Tandum Ceiling Mount solved our problems and allowed us to hang a light (the Aurora Dome Pendant) over our dining table. It was straightforward to install and looks great. #sweepstakes

It is a nice way to solve the problem when you don't have a light outlet in the ceiling and you want to install ceiling mounted/ pendant lights. This is the reason why I got it, and it get the job done well. The only issue is that installing it is pretty annoying. The design was some flaws as the backets is installed so close to the ceiling that it is hard to make all the connections up there. Also, the whole system on how to secure the cable through the canopy does not work well and I have to come up with a different way of securing it in place. It might be easier for someone with experience on that, which was not my case. #sweepstakes

Very great for people who cannot hardwire lights into their rentals Would recommend buying coaxial clips (the one with nails) to hold the wire down, the three screw clips are not enough and is messier #sweepstakes

This is a useful product but it arrived in shoddy condition. There were scrapes on the metal fixture and it appeared that it might have been used before. I was expecting better for the price.

Ordered 3x and found that the parts (cross bar) were missing in two of them and that local shops did not sell it, Room and Board took a week to validate and failed to resolve. The switch works fine but needs holes drilled through the mount to attach to wall.

Looks great!! Wanted a finished look without hiring an electrician.

This is a wonderful product and would have been easy to use; however, beware that it does not work with "all" lights as it states. The diameter of your lighting cord must fit through the hole in the canopy which mine did not. Ended up taking it to a lighting specialist to have adapted which of course cost more.

A handyman installed my light (a R&B find also) using the tandem ceiling mount. He encountered no problems. I have a concrete ceiling and could not have a j-box installed and this item helped me to have a ceiling light where I otherwise would not have had the option. Note that the cord will run across your ceiling and wall and the white one here works well and is minimal. However, it still looks like a white "rope". Because I'm super particular, I am considered repainting my greige walls to white so the cord blends in better. Also, the switch is at a fixed spot on the cord so if you have extra length, you'll need to work with where it's at. Functionally, it works great and clearly is high quality.

These are amazing. We actually bought two and wired them together to hang pendants over our dining table. They were easy to install and really helped us work with a situation where no lighting was available. #sweepstakes

This product is a game changer for rooms without pre-wiring for an overhead light. Our office has 13ft ceilings and no light source. This allowed us to hang a wired light fixture. The only con about the product is the location of the on/ off dimmer switch. It is located too low for where it must be plugged in to the wall leaving it in an odd spot to turn the light on and off less than 12in from the outlet.
