Basis

we only bought our first R&B product recently. they are excellent, far more than competitive at the price point.

I found this desk on the Room&Board website under ideas for small areas. Bingo. This desk was perfect for an empty area at the end of a hall. This area has now been transformed into a mini-office. The desk is high quality and the wood is beautiful. I have no regrets about purchasing this desk.

I really like the style and look of this desk. I would think twice before buying it again though. For context, I am on the third one delivered to my home. With the first desk, the front drawer did not shut flush with the top of the desk, and the gap between the metal frame and top was different on either side. The second desk delivered was damaged in shipping. The third desk has the same problem with the drawer as the first. I hesitated to request another replacement, and decided to keep the desk rather than go through the hassle of another delivery. I'm happy with my other furniture from Room and Board, so maybe this desk is an anomaly. But for the price, I expected more. For the record, Room and Board was quite willing to replace the first two desks, and company representatives were responsive and respectful in my interactions with them (hence the third star in my rating).

I've reached the age where a nice desk is officially a personality trait, and the Basis is my new favorite one. I went with the cherry wood and stainless steel legs. It's got that warm, high-end look that makes my old laptop look like it's worth at least twice as much. It's made in the USA and you can actually tell the manufacturer takes pride in their work. The drawer doesn't stick or scream at me when I open it--the dovetail joinery is so solid I've probably opened it fifty times just for the satisfaction. It's slim enough for a small room but heavy enough that it doesn't move an inch. I'm basically 10% more productive and 100% more likely to keep my desk clean just so I can look at the wood grain. #sweepstakes

I love this desk. It doesn't look like a desk but rather a piece of nice furjiture. Minimalistic but the full length drawer is more than a simple pencil drawer being 48' long. Perspective buyers should be aware that the walnnut stain used now is different from the sample in the store which is the previousi stain. You should specifically ask to see the new stain.

# Sweepstakes I have a small room that needed a desk. This one is the perfect size and has a nice big drawer. I love it.

I was looking for a small desk near the kitchen hall and found this to be the perfect size. I love the simple styling that fits nicely with my other rooms, the walnut is beautiful and craftsmanship incredible. I had another lamp but felty a black lamp worked better so I got the Horizon LED Table Lamp in Black and it looks and works perfectly. I had concern regarding brightness, but this is excellent for reading. I think any brighter it would just create glare, plus the dimmer is a handy feature. you might think my photo look like a staged R&B showroom, truth is I was going to look for a special chair for the desk, in the mean time I slid this Eames chair in that was in a nearby room. It ended up being the choice, as it's perfect for the space. All in all I am very happy with the desk and lamp combo. Both arrived sooner than they said, so that was an added bonus.

We recently purchased this small desk from Room and Board for our mountain home, and it has been the perfect addition for my husband's workspace. The desk is beautifully crafted and fits seamlessly into our cozy space. Its compact size doesn't sacrifice functionality, providing ample room for his laptop, monitor, and other essentials without overwhelming the room. The quality and finish are top-notch, exuding both elegance and durability. It's clear this desk is built to last. We're thrilled with our purchase and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish, functional desk for smaller spaces.

Fits my space perfectly and the contemporary look goes fab with my other R&B bedroom furniture #sweepstakes
