Ericson

This has serious nostalgia associated with this piece! I had been looking for this design for years until I realized I could have it made new! The green leather on oak is superb! Such a fantastic piece for our mountain Scandinavian home! #sweepstakes

We needed more seating in a small NYC living room to complement our small sectional. This loveseat is wide enough to comfortably seat two, but overall dimensions are small so it doesn't take up too much space! The one caveat is that the couch slides a bit on hardwood; should not be an issue if being placed on carpet. #sweepstakes

The wooden frame was split on one of the legs and Room & Board will be sending us a replacement frame.

I bought this for my foyer. It's the perfect size and place for people to take off their shoes and coats and get situated.

Wood on arms a little rough.

I love the design of my new modern sofa, the walnut and the quality of leather. So far the cats leave it alone! My only issue is after it delivered, I noticed rough patches ofwood on the arms and parts of the back. After talks with customer service, I was told to use the tinted wax to condition the wood. The rough patches were the raise in the grain, and with buffing this would smooth the texture. R&B scheduled a complimentary service to come look a the piece. He was great and after some light sanding and wax, the wood is much smoother, and I have more education about how to take care of it. This was just unexpected as I think we all want perfection in high end purchases, but R&B handled it all very well.

APPEARANCE and COMFORT- It might seem like an unusual design because most sofas are fully upholstered, but it is blending into its surroundings and making everything in the living room seem more expensive than before. The wood grain is very pretty and I like to look at the wood joints. I fall asleep on this sofa a lot and it is surprisingly comfortable. I even sit with a pillow between me and the arm of the sofa and its fine. I don't feel like a wooden bar is being pressed against my back. Everyone that sees the sofa is impressed. GO TO THE SHOWROOM- I purchased the sofa online, but I went to the showroom first. They didn't have the sofa on display but they had the matching chair. I was happy that I was able to compare the Ericson chair with the other wood frame chair (Sanna). The Sanna chair is much lower and it was hard for me to get out of it. This Ericson sofa is higher so it is easier to get in and out of the sofa. (I am 5'11) I also recommended going to the showroom so you can see what the materials look like in person and how they stand up to the customers trying everything out. Seeing the materials in person helped convince me to choose leather over cloth fabric because the leather is such good quality. WEAR AND TEAR- I really enjoy looking at the sofa. Sometimes my boyfriend asks me why I am not sitting on the new sofa and I explain that I like looking at this new one from across the room. After I fall asleep on the sofa I might notice an oil stain from my skin, but it wipes off very easily with a soft cloth. I find myself dusting the sofa frequently because the dark colors from the black leather and the walnut make dust more visible but it's an easy task. I had to have a repair technician sand the wood down because it seemed rough and discolored. There was also a scratch that needed to be repaired. Room & Board took care of everything. OVERALL- I recommend the sofa and Room & Board. I am looking forward to buying more furniture from them.

I could not be more thrilled with this beautiful leather love seat. The wood is absolutely stunning. The craftsmanship is top notch. This is a lovely piece of furniture that I will enjoy for many, many years to come.

We have a small living room and need to make the most of every piece of furniture in it. This sofa is perfect for our space: while it is compact, it's far roomier than we expected. The seat height and depth are very comfortable for us (we too are fairly compact), and the firmness of the seat and back cushions suit us, as we can sit upright yet feel relaxed. The leather (urbino saffron) is good looking, has a nice feel, and seems to be very durable--we don't worry about our dog lounging on the sofa at all. A wonderful surprise is that the sofa was ready for delivery in December 2021, though we had expected to wait until April or May 2022. That caused a bit of a shuffle to get the old sofa a new home, but we have been very pleased to have this one.

We use this sofa in our living room. It is exceptionally high quality and when I purchased it I was concerned with comfort and it has exceeded my expectations. I also feel as though it will wear much better than a 'traditional' couch. The wood accents are beautiful. I purchased the leather and it does not disappoint. The piece to me represents simplistic beauty and function and will last a long time. We truly love this sofa and would purchase again.
