This is a well-made and beautiful cabinet. It adds a modern touch but blends with the farmhouse furniture because of the natural wood. The first one that came was much darker than the photo but Room & Board was willing to replace it for with one that looks more like the photo. If you want darker or lighter, it would be worth specifying. The variation in the wood tones is not as dramatic as in the photo.

This reclaimed lumber cabinet is beautiful and brings a distictive look to any room. I'm sure I'll treasure this forever and it will likely get moved several times over the next few years. It has a flexible storage set up with movable shelves. I love the streamlined front where you open cabinet doors and drawers by pushing them in. The top and sides are clad in a black stained wood which gives the piece elegance and the iron legs echo this look.

I bought the McKean with charcoal stain and reclaimed wood drawers with the intent of having it compliment other lighter woods that I currently have in our family room. I have a maple oak coffee table and a Pottery Barn bookshelf very similar to the Etting bookshelf sold at Room & Board. When I got the piece, it was significantly darker than what was shown on the website. Talking to customer service, they did not know of any stain added to it and said any stain was there before it was reclaimed. However, I set up an exchange and the second one was not very different from the first one shown, and still much darker than what is shown on the website. Delivery driver also said that the second piece (not shown) was on the lighter side, but was still very similar to the first cabinet. Unfortunately, I'm deciding to return it as it does not fit to the degree I wanted it to in the space for that price.

We have the longer McKean console under our tv and needed something to fill an open/empty space in what is a very large family room. That is what this 48" McKean is for. The reclaimed wood is gorgeous - no complaints at all! And the construction is top-notch, very solid. We are pleased with this purchase.

We are very happy and excited to have this storage cabinet from the reclaimed wood project. We previously purchased the leaning bookshelves from the same project. We were happy with that purchase that we purchased the cabinet. It is a very unique look with excellent construction. Do note that the wood on the cabinet is a bit different from the shelves; however, Room & Board clearly explained this ahead of time as part of the reclaimed wood, so we were ready for this and fine. The differences add to the uniqueness but still feel they complement each other.

This piece is gorgeous and a great size and the shelves and magnetic doors and drawers are perfect!

The product's finish did not match the online advertisement, or the two floor models at the Room and Board in DC. The floor models were cherry-picked to show a distressed, yet "polished" look. The piece we received has large clusters of holes in the wood. We were expecting a distressed look, similar to what was advertised, but instead received a piece with wood that should have been disposed of vs. placed on the front panel of a cabinet.

I keep checking out this cabinet in the store, and I'm frustrated. I want to see the front panels sanded down a bit more. They are too rough and the stain looks blotchy as a result. Also, it looks splintery. I'm sad because I have end tables with a beveled front. and sunken drawer faces. This cabinet would look beautiful in my apartment if the wood panels weren't so rough in the front. Thanks.
