Berkeley

I desired a desk and chair to write, hold my files, so I go again to Room & Board for my wishes. As an older American, I am influenced in my life by Japanese and European ideas. I am picky. This Berkley Desk and a Georgia Side Chair fit-the-bill for me. I am so very happy with all and write here now upon them in praise.

Perfect size and color, thanks to the expert help of design associate Samara Shhadeh.

The desk is beautiful! I ended up buying a second one for my office.

Large stylish desk with good storage.

Wood desk with two file drawers and lots of top space. Beautiful to look at

A beautiful wood desk that has two file cabinets.

My wife and I were renovating our new home and I was looking for a simple, clean desk for my office—something minimalistic that would blend in well with the mid-century modern aesthetic. After an exhaustive search I found the Berkeley. It had the right mix of quality and value and I couldn't be happier.

The desk is perfect! Delivery went smoothly and all is well.

While the overall construction and materials do align with what I'd expect as this price point, I was a bit surprised by the piece of wood chosen for the top. I fully understand and in fact welcome, natural flaws as part of what makes the material beautiful. However, the repetitive large dot pattern on the top I received does not feel natural at all. What's perhaps most disappointing is that I reached out several times to try to find a solution and never heard back. Overall a fairly big let down from a company which appeared to be positioned for such a different experience.

I purchased a desk and two file cabinets and they are beautiful! At delivery there were some marks on one piece and a wonderful young man was sent out. He made a beautiful repair. Unfortunately I had a problem with a couple of the desk drawers not fitting quite right and they replaced the entire desk for me!
