Dahl

I purchased two Dahl 42w 15d 75h Two-Door Bookcases for our family room, and I could not be more thrilled with them. Our family room is quite large, and the back wall needed something with height and presence. I also loved the idea of creating a small library where I could display and enjoy more of my books. These bookcases were the perfect solution. We chose the Salt stain, and the color is absolutely beautiful. I especially love the open backs, which make the bookcases feel lighter and allow us to tuck our internet and cable equipment into a basket on one of the shelves.. The open design also made it easy to add lighting, which creates such a warm glow in the evening. The lower cabinets are wonderful for hiding away office supplies and keeping the room looking organized and uncluttered. Placed side by side, the two bookcases look stunning. As a Feng Shui consultant, I also love that our family room falls within the Love & Marriage area of our home. In Feng Shui, pairs are especially supportive in this area, so having these two beautiful bookcases together feels particularly fitting. The craftsmanship is exceptional\. I honestly cannot find a single flaw\. Room & Board continues to be my favorite furniture store for its beautiful, quality craftsmanship and excellent customer service. I highly recommend these bookcases. They have completely transformed our family room and given me the library space I had been hoping for.

We love this bookcase so much that we have purchased four of them in different sizes/configurations to house our books. It's sturdy, beautiful, and holds a wide variety of book sizes comfortably. Highly recommended.

This bookcase boasts great build quality and excellent attention to detail. It feels solid, looks high-end, and has a truly timeless design. The only minor flaw is that the pre-installed wall anchor on the back can get in the way of putting the shelf perfectly flush against the wall, but it is otherwise awesome. Highly recommend!

Bought the Dahl bookcase in walnut to replace our current bookcase that wasn't baby proof. Love that you can still see our accent wall through each cubby. Cubbies are spacious and allow enough room for books for lamps. Appears very sturdy and comes with wall anchors to protect little ones. #sweepstakes

This bookcase is a great addition to our living room. The wood is gorgeous and it is very sturdy.

I wanted to use these "bookcases" for my books, which include some large art books. The shelves began to sag. I reported this and was told that I had overloaded the shelves, and they recommend that each shelf should not hold over 50 LBS of books. They make no mention of this in their advertising. It appears that if you want to display your pottery and vases and such, with a handful of books next to them, then these are for you. If you want to put lots of books in the "bookshelves" , find something else that will carry the load. I weighed and photographed 50lbs of books to illustrate what that looks like, and highlighted them in the photo that accompanies this review. These shelves are attractive, I will give them that. No telling by the description how much particle board is involved here.

Good quality bookshelf. Looks great with my contemporary decor but could work in more traditionl scheme. Looks wonderful on right side of large flatscreen TV that is above Electiric fireplace. For displaying phtotos and difuuser and some books as well. Love the gray.!

The bookshelf is not stable, kind of shaking, due to the intrinsic design problems.

I was looking for a sturdy, contemporary bookcase that highlight pictures, art, and books. This beautiful piece of furniture is elegant and modern with different size cubbies. It can also be displayed in an open room to be adored from both sides instead of against a wall.

Excellent bookcase that matches my home impeccably. I love Room&Board. Great value and quality furniture.
