Fable

I bought this bookcase for vinyl record storage. I'd asked the customer service representative at the front desk of the Seattle showroom whether they had anything for record storage and she told me that although there are other pieces that can be configured for records, this piece is sized appropriately by default. I wanted a piece of real furniture rather than a cheap storage solution. It hadn't occured to me that you can't have 150+ records on a single shelf with no support without it becoming very difficult to take records out and put them back. I ended up buying record dividers/supports and drilling into the beautiful shelves to install them. That went very well, though, and the bookcase works perfectly for records now. (You can see one of the supports on the bottom shelf.) I got a couple end tables for the same room, in the same finish, which isn't something I'd be able to do if I bought a record-storage unit from one company and end tables from another.
