Woodwind

I recently purchased 2 Woodwind bookcases. They are beautiful. Shelves are of high quality. We have a large library and these are perfect for our books! The wood is beautiful. So, so happy.

This is the third bookcase I've purchased, and I would purchase it again. They are so sturdy and well-made, and very attractive for a bookcase!

I have ordered many products from R&B over the years, and this is the first disappointment. That said, the bookshelf is beautiful. The walnut veneer is beautiful. BUT THE VENEER IS SO THIN AND FRAGILE that not one of the shelves arrived undamaged. We were able to use all but one shelf by rationalizing and telling ourselves that we could use books to cover the scratches or realizing that if we turned a shelf over, the scratch running along a leading edge would not show. We also know that even though it appears likely that just accidentally touching a book on the leading edge of a shelf or the front surround (all veneered particleboard) is likely to leave a light-colored mark on the veneer, most of the books on these shelves will never be read again. When I just barely touched one of the shelves on the front face of the case when installing, it left a light mark through the case veneer. One of the shelves had too many defects, and we are on the second try to replace it with a defect-free shelf that should arrive in a few days. Upshot, if you plan to use the bookshelf for storing, removing, and replacing books or other objects or you have children in the house, this is not the bookshelf for you. My parents want to keep the shelf because it's a gift from me, it looks great right now, and they don't want to be a lot of trouble. If I had bought this shelf for myself, I would have returned it or perhaps exchanged it for a metal shelf - because all of the metal products I've bought from R&B still look great and are still in use up to 25 years after purchase.

Quality is good, but the color is more of an off-white.

I can't recommend this enough. The material is great quality, the finish is gorgeous, the service was impeccable. We are just waiting for our next paycheck to get another one.

This bookcase is beautiful and should last forever. I plan to buy several more one at a time to build out my library. #sweepstakes

This bookcase is so beautiful I purchased two of them. Well made, aesthetically pleasing, and sturdy without looking bulky. Highly recommend.

These bookcases are gorgeous and sturdy. We got four for our library and it's my favorite room in the house now. The bottom doors are a great space to store puzzles! We really appreciate the delivery and set up, especially since our floors are not the most level so some adjusting of the feet was required (when we attached the bookcases to the wall, the movement made us need to readjust the feet a bit ourselves, which was tricky, but the bookcases feel very stable now).

I bought 5 bookcases in white. I understood that since they were built to go together, they would be easy to set side by side with even spacing between them. The leveling feet were supposed to be helpful. From the get-go, though, it was obvious that the bookcases were all different--the overhangs at the top were different, preventing even spacing. They were so different that sometimes there was an actual overhang at the front of the bookcase and none at the back of the bookcase. I've already talked to customer service, and because I've attached the bookcases to my wall already, I can't return them. For the price I paid, I'm really, really disappointed. If you want lovely, professional-looking bookcases, I would go elsewhere.

For the price of these bookshelves I expected better construction. These are not better constructed than cheaper options. They use a lot of cheap laminated particle board. On the outer housing is real wood.
