Grove

Beautiful, small, well made pice of furniture. We placed this in our bedroom and it's really nice to hide the desk/laptop when not in use.

Smooth, gorgeous and natural walnut wood/petite cabinet. When I drop down the table, I can pull my sewing machine out and get right to work. It's a lovely accent piece in my room. #sweepstakes

The walnut is beautiful and feels solid. I don't think there are any stains applied the wood. The doors feel a bit stiff to open and close but I think they will loosen up with time. I wanted something with a midcentury vibe but needed something small and space efficient for my small dining room. It really does look like a work of art to me #sweepstakes

The Grove Office Armoire is simply a beautiful piece of furniture. It resides in my sitting room and takes up so much less space than my former desk, yet it has abundant storage and a file folder drawer so I was able to rid my space of not only a desk but a file cabinet as well! The design and construction are superior, as is the wood. I love the fact that all the necessary desk top objects can be hidden from view when the fold out desk top is closed. My husband was so impressed and repeatedly commented that he loved my choice and now he wants one!

It is a great size desk. Wonderful, sturdy construction. Lots of storage. Wish it had a water based varnish like finish.

I'm a big fan of Room and Board's Grove line of products and so when seeking a storage solution in a small office, this piece was an attractive option. Perfect for organizing files and paperwork and keeping things looking neat and tidy. I love that it functions as a writing surface, but that when my work is done, I can just close the door and hide away any disorganization.

This little secretary is the perfect size for a smaller room. The designers packed a lot of usable space into something that's just 16 inches deep. The large file drawer allowed me to empty out a couple of bankers' boxes that had been cluttering up a closet, so I am thrilled. My only criticism is that the metal hinges for the drop-down desktop are on the exterior of the desk. I wish they weren't so visible; to me they interfere with the clean outward appearance of the piece. But still, it's a winner.

I wanted a sturdy secretary-style desk that fit a particular spot and could be used as a sewing machine station. I only bought this because it fit those requirements. The "finish" is a waxy oil that is applied a few times a year… so basically the wood basically unfinished and a bit rough. For a desk, I would have expected a durable finish. As for the knobs/pulls, they are a bit short so anyone with long fingernails would scratch the wood…not a problem for me bc I keep my nails short. Finally, the drop-down secretary door is not flush with the back; it's a bit raised. That is annoying for my purposes (sewing station), but it wasn't a dealbreaker.

I love this desk! I was looking for a more traditional desk at first, but kept coming back to this one. I wanted something for the days I work from home, but that would work for a small guest room and be space efficient. I love the way it looks in the room. It does not feel overwhelming or bulky. I can hide everything inside the desk, keeping the space clean and tidy. The desk lowers slowly, which is better than if it slammed down. Overall a very useful piece! #sweepstakes

I have had this item for around 2 months. I work at the desk most week days. It's designed cleverly and looks good. Until today, my only complaint was that the desk edges are a little sharp. Today the desk collapsed!!!! They better fix or replace this thing!
