Emmet

I know this follows the basic profile of an Adirondack chair set, with a downward sloping ottoman. For me and my geometry, that sloping angle is just a tad too much. Still, it looks nice and is completely comfortable. A nice touch is the way the back legs of the ottoman nestle just inside the front legs of the chair.

The ottoman is really nice and pairs well with the chair. It was easy to build and looks great.

After purchasing the Emmet Lounge chairs a year ago, I finally decided to purchase the matching ottomans. The ottomans enhance the look of the chairs on my porch and make the chairs so much more comfortable to relax in. And, I was thrilled with the consistency of the construction and the fact that it appears as both chair and ottoman appear to have been purchased together. Thank you Room & Board for the high quality construction.

We have two of the Adirondack chairs, but only one had the ottoman. The chairs are several years old, so we were concerned about color match. Happy to say the new ottoman matches almost perfectly, which means the chairs have sat in the sun for several years with almost no fading. Excellent quality - happy customer!

As you can see from the photos, we have invested in quite a few Loll pieces from Room & Board over the years. They sit outside year round on our roof deck in Chicago. They are sturdy and so well designed that high winds barely move them. Easy to clean, super comfy—we also purchased the cushions just this year which I will post pictures of in a separate review—they are wonderful too. You get what you pay for. I highly recommend Loll. In fact we had an issue after the first four years of ownership (a weird crackle pattern developed on the surface) and Loll had R & B replace the coffee table and sofa in order to run tests on what may have been a defective batch of plastic—-unheard of customer service. The replacements are going on three years now and still look brand new. I love how easily cleaned these are too—in an urban area there is a lot of particulate matter in the air. I actually hose these off a couple of times a week...ez pz... love love love.

A bit expensive, we thought, for an ottoman. But then, the chairs are a bit of an investment too. The look is great, and it is oh-so-comfortable. We originally bought two of the matching adirondack style chairs and only one ottoman, thinking we could share it or take turns using it. It took no time at all to realize we needed two ottomans. Both the chairs and the ottomans are great. They sit low, and folks with mobility issues (like our elderly parents) really can't use them. But everyone else adores these. We love 'em.
