This bench is gorgeous! The leather is so soft and supple and I love the mix of leather and metal. And it has way more storage capacity than I thought, I can fit so much in it. The leather will likely scuff, but I think it will just enhance the look of the piece overall to give it that beautiful weathered look.

The storage bench itself has a roomy interior and well made. The stock option that I purchased matched well to expectations when it was delivered. Stashing a couple of backpacks and winter gloves, scarves, etc. inside and it easily fits everything.

We purchased the chest to finish off a bedroom remodel and it met our expectations. We saw it online and ordered fabric samples. The supple black leather was a perfect choice especially with the end tables we also purchased from Room and Board. We are most happy with the look and quality.

The storage bench is beautiful—sleek in design with storage for afghans and pillows inside. The people I dealt with in the DC store couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. The first piece that was delivered had a flaw in the leather. It was replaced cheerfully with a new one , which was just perfect. Your customer service is outstanding!

Why I love it: First and foremost: there's a generous amount of storage, with plenty of room for my gym bag, backpack, and shopping totes. The leather (Vento Cognac) is stunning—shiny, rich, supple. The legs keep it off the floor so I can easily vacuum under it. And unlike many other storage benches I was looking into, the lid fully opens, which makes getting things in and out a breeze. The hinges are sturdy, keeping the lid open basically wherever you leave it, no slamming shut. The interior is fabric, so because I use it as an entryway bench and don't want it to get super dirty, I lined it with two 25" x 17" silicone pet food mats (not an exact fit; there's a bit of a gap on the sides, but it works for my purposes!). The Disclaimers: It's handmade and leather, so there are minor imperfections that entails. The top has some divots it came with that haven't gone away in the month that I've had the bench. The leather came with some pre-existing small scuffs and scratches (which it will continue to collect over time, given my choice of leather—there are alternative more scratch-resistant options). There's a tiny bit of white stuffing/lining peeking out from one of the interior corners. When I received it, there was some leftover manufacturing debris (e.g. sawdust, splinters) that I had to vacuum out. The most noticeable of all is that there's a bit of off-gassing / smell, which is still present, but has been gradually dissipating over time. I list all of these given the price point of this bench, but they have all been minor enough that I didn't bother with a return/exchange. Overall, I highly recommend this bench. Regardless of any small quirks or imperfections, it is sturdy, elegant, spacious, and extremely high quality. #sweepstakes

Beautiful piece, well constructed and functional. Love it!

After decades of an entry way bench that had tiny space for storage and a lid that did not stay open (think of clonking on your head/hands) we upgraded to those lovely piece - so much room inside and a lid that keeps itself open! Beautiful design, the smaller version is compact and gorgeous.

This beautiful piece replaced a decades old (but very sweet) wooden entry way bench. It's sophisticated yet functional and transforms the space (along with the new walnut coat tree).

I was looking for a bench to put in front of my bed and this was perfect. It has great storage, is very durable and looks amazing. Don't hesitate to buy it.

My salesperson was great and super helpful. I was thrilled that a color I was interested in was a stock item and that the wait was only a couple weeks. I like the modern take on the design and the amount of storage - both great. My disappointment though is with the top of the bench. Two issues: the foam is thin and not stiff enough; the leather was not stretched tight enough. When I received the bench there were several indentions on one end - like something had been stacked on it and left marks. I assumed they'd pop out but it's now been a month since I picked it up and the divots are still there (and deeper than they look) - 1st photo. I also placed a leather & wood tray on the top of the unit (with nothing in it) and it has left indentions - 2nd photo + a sample of the loose leather. Heaven forbid anyone would sit on this bench! This replaced a less expensive, leather bench that lasted years. I'm sure this won't last nearly as long and it was many times the price.
