Bedroom Measurement Tips
Leave at least 18 inches of space on either side of your bed for ease of walking, but more space (24 to 36 inches) adds more comfort.
If you want a storage bed, leave at least 36 inches of space at the foot so the drawer can fully extend with room to spare.
Add the width of your desired nightstands (usually 18 to 36 inches) to your bed’s headboard width to make sure they all fit side by side along your desired wall.
Try not to crowd your furniture. You need a few inches of space between your bed and nightstand, and a few inches of space between your nightstand and the wall.
