Element Disc

We have furnished all of living room and part of dining including lighting with room&board and yet to be disappointed. For years we have searched for a sconce light for the bedroom that would work in a very small space and still make the required reach. This light fits the bill. It is newly installed so as of yet not much experience with it but so far we are very pleased.

I'm an architect with very rigorous standards. There's nary s product in Romm & Board that I wouldn't welcome into any of my homes, city or country. Truly timeless.

This light has all the functionality I wanted (LED, bright, and easy to move around without having to screw or unscrew joints,) at significantly less cost than any others I'd with those features. Plus, it's also attractive, dimmable, easy to install and will shut itself off if you set it to. It arrived fairly quickly. Something like two weeks, instead of the months the more expensive ones were going to take. Count me very happy! #sweepstakes

As you can see from the photos we actually mounted them to the bed. They can be either bright or dim. Great for reading in bed when one person is already asleep. I actually like the movement sensor. Also like the flexible nature of the arm and light head. Does not scratch up the wall behind either!

I am really happy with this product. Quality very good. Functionality really detailed and useful. Very well thought of overall design.

This light has a motion detector that can be turned off if not needed. Nice looking and can be used in any room. I plan to buy one for the living room.

We bought 2 of these lights to be living room window seat sconces in our new home with the intention that they would be mood lighting in the evening when the ceiling lights are not on, good for reading in cozy lighting and good low lights when we are out in evening. HOWEVER, the sconces turn off automatically after 10 minutes so they do not function well for us at all in any circumstance. I learned that these lights turn off automatically from a Room & Board review posted right here prior to opening the lights or having our contractor install them. Once we discovered the lights would not work for our purpose, our contractor tried to return them (unopened, in their original packaging & brand new) in June and Room & Board would not take them back, not even for store credit. (My contractors design and develop about 35 houses at a time at all times here in Santa Barbara and do business with R&B all time. We were shocked that R&B would not work with us especially since the very important detail about these lights turning themselves off automatically was not apparent to us until we read the review from another customer who was able to return the lights.) We're now stuck with two of these sconces that do not do what we need them to do. Neither my contractor nor myself has been able to reason with Room & Board to take them back or even to exchange them for something else. These sconces are still a product that R&B sells but still R&B has refused to take them back. We've been put in an impossible circumstance, stuck with sconces that are inappropriate for our home and yet we've paid over $800 and cannot return them. I would not recommend these sconces to anyone and would not recommend buying anything from R&B. They have demonstrated a rare inflexibility that makes it hard to consider buying from R&B in the future.

Love how this light looks, love the range this light covers, but hate the fact that it turns itself off every 15 minutes. It has a sensor - which isn't very good and if it doesn't sense movement it turns off. We purchases for a night light next to the bed - IT DOES NOT DETECTED PAGE TURNS. So as we read at night - the light turns off about every 15 mins., pretty annoying. Other than that - it really is a cool light.

Love it that the light is on the wall to it frees up space on my night stand.
