The console is beautiful and functional. It's is high quality materials and impeccable construction. I love the wood and metal together giving an upgraded modern look to my room.

This media console has beautiful walnut wood grain and color. Good construction. Good finishing on the casing. One note: the top faces of the shelves were very rough and I was concerned about it splintering when pulling things in and out. Room & Board sent a repair person to smooth them down and seal them. I'm happy with the repair. The description is slightly misleading. The vertical inside support/divider in the case appears to be walnut plywood and the shelves are veneered particle board. Both are capped with solid walnut on the front. For the price I would have expected the shelves to be plywood, especially considering that is a media console and might hold heavy AV equipment. #sweepstakes

We're really happy with this media cabinet. The quality is excellent—it feels solid, well built, and like a piece of furniture we'll have for a very long time. The design is clean and modern without being overly trendy, and the wood adds just the right amount of warmth to the room. At 70 inches wide, it provides plenty of storage while still maintaining a relatively low, streamlined profile. It also does a great job of hiding all of the electronics, cables, and other clutter that normally comes with a media setup. Overall, it's a beautiful, functional piece and exactly the level of quality we've come to expect from Room & Board. Very happy with the purchase.

Fits perfectly and I love the extra storage

The cabinet itself is nicely designed. We're using it in our family room, so there's a TV and sound bar atop of it and a few electronics in one of the storage spaces. It looks good, matches our decor, and helps us to keep everything clean and tidy. Negatives are in the details of the construction. Our cabinet has a few small finish flaws: a raised area where too much finish collected and one spot where not enough was applied. The handles were not installed level with the doors and so they look slightly crooked and cause the door to rub the cabinet frame when you open it. Finally, the interior is not well sanded. The shelves are noticeably coarser than the cabinet itself and the interior rear frame where the back attaches is very rough to the touch. I looked at the display unit at my local R&B and its handles were similarly installed askew. This looks to be more of a systemic quality issue at the manufacturing source than an isolated issue. We were going to have a service tech come out and then decided against it: I'm busy and did not want the hassle of another appointment on my schedule. Realistically, R&B would need to replace the whole unit to correct these flaws, and based on what I observed in the showroom display, I think the odds of getting a perfectly executed unit are not high. While made in the U.S. of solid wood, I would expect these subtle execution flaws on a piece half this price and made overseas. R&B needs to do better quality control with their manufacturer. (Notably, I bought a R&B bedroom set over a decade ago that was built by the same vendor. It took three attempts to get one without major visible flaws. This also informs my reluctance to pursue an exchange as it may take a while to get a better outcome.) #sweepstakes

Great storage and a solid feel. Love the color of the finish

Beautiful media center with one small issue; left cabinet door does not close completely without pressure. Door is misaligned and there is no room for adjustment on the hinge.

Read carefully about the finishes because the walnut does not match across pieces. I'm really disappointed that no one told me this before ordering and waiting weeks. There's also a weird ashy residue on the piece.

Wow... what an extraordinary piece of furniture... the craftsmanship is impeccable. I didn't want to spend this much on a media cabinet, but after recieving it I'm sure glad I did. I have never been disappointed with any purchase from R&B and they will always be my 'go to" store for quality purchases.

Good product, a little sanding is needed on the wood and the shelves are not quite aligned properly. Would rate 3.5/5 #sweepstakes
