This is an easy to operate and very comfortable fold-out couch. The only feature (or absence thereof) to be aware of: when the bed is foldedout, there is no headboard from the rear couch cushions, as these fold out as well.

Good design but quality and service are unsatisfactory

I received the Viva Sleeper Sofa on June 25. I like the design and particularly the way the sleeper is unfolded. But there are some quality issues. The four wood legs are defective, with scruffed stained surface exposing white against the normally beautiful brown finish, and a bent screw that prevented the leg to be attached properly.

The Viva 86" Fold-out Sleeper Sofa surpassed every expectation we had. It was purchased for my grandparents to use in their new assisted living apartment, so it was necessary to find a high quality option that is easy for them to use. Everything with this sofa was incredible. Assembly was simple and required no tools, folding and unfolding the sleeper part is incredibly easy to do, and both the sofa and mattress are surprisingly comfortable. Sitting and laying are equally comfortable, which is usually not the case with these sofas. My grandparents were equally surprised with the quality, loving that the overall height of the sofa and mattress are high enough for them to get into and out of easily, something they were significantly concerned with.
Shipping was incredibly easy to schedule and deal with.

My sofa came brand new with more Wrinkles than if it was 10 years old. I was directed to another furniture service that was supposed to fix it but couldn't agree on a date (I do t live at this house) so they cancelled me. After several emails with someone else R&B decided to exchange the sofa with another. The new one was even more wrinkled. I spoke with another person who told me to fluff the pillows. This sofa has no pillows. It is one piece that folds out to a sleeper. She also sent pictures of other wrinkled sofas and told me that it was normal. The photos looked like second hand furniture. Very dissatisfied with the quality.

We were looking for a fold out sleeper that will be comfortable for extended stays and for older guests. Our guests so far said the bed was very comfortable. It's very easy to fold in and out. The couch is on the firm side but for a guest bedroom it's fine.

So let me start by saying that I am of the generation that dealt with 10,000 pillows and cushions to find a home for whenever you wished to use the sleeper part of your sleeper sofa. This innovative design keeps everything in place and your guests are not tripping around the room trying to avoid parts of the sofa which have been tossed on the floor and elsewhere. It's a clean, sleek design with a modern edge that still manages to look good in a more traditional space. I could not be happier with my decision.

Perfect Sleeper Sofa for our Office

The couch sits in the office as a spare bed/couch and so we use it sparingly as a bed or to sit while working. Overall I'd say the couch is firm but not uncomfortable. I like how sturdy it feels when you open it up to the sleeper. The metal frame of the sleeper feels and looks better made than other brands I've used. The bed felt really firm when we first got it and our first guest mentioned it looked a bit firm but after two nights, he said that actually it was really comfy. You definitley don't feel any of the metal frame below. We've only had ours for a few months but a few guests have slept on it now without complaints. I'm hoping the quality means it'll last and stay this way for years to come.
First, love their flat delivery fee! We needed this delivered in a more remote area and almost all other furniture brands charge us extra because of our address, but not Room & Board. I can't believe how reasonable their fees are given how extraordinary their delivery team is.
Second, the white glove delivery service was spot on. They came first to inspect the space and discuss strategy (we def needed one as it wasn't a straightforward hallway and doorway to get through). I liked that they wore gloves and brought mats to lay on the hardwood. They carefully unwrapped all items, making sure nothing got dirty. We had to manipulate the sofa a few different ways to get it into the narrow doorway and hall and they did a fantastic job with that. I was seriously worried it wouldn't fit but went ahead because of the nice return policy where you can simply "reject" the order at delivery if it doesn't work out for any reason (fitting in room, color, comfort, anything). When placement had to happen, they took our instructions without issue and then left the place same as it was before, cleaning up all plastic covers, boxes, etc.

Very happy with the purchase. Allows my office to become a guest room in a pinch. I was worried that it wouldn't fit through the door until I discovered that the arms are not attached until after placement reducing the length by 13" until final assembly. The fabric is comfortable and attractive. The seat is quite firm but not uncomfortable. My one overnight guest rates the bed a thumbs up. He said the mattress was firm but there was no sagging and no frame or crossbar jabbing into his back as is typical with other sofa beds. I may add a topper for my next guest.
