This desk is gorgeous with incredible craftsmanship. I had a different, much larger, Room and Board secretary desk for 20 years that I absolutely loved. I moved to a smaller space and had to part with it. The Linear 51w 23d 51h Office Armoire with Two File Drawers is exactly the right size and functionality for I was looking for. I work from home and it meets all of my needs. Additionally, it looks stunning in my living room. I would 100% recommend this desk.

Beautiful and Functional Desk

I love everything about this Computer Armoire. I needed a computer/office desk that did not look like a desk and could conceal the computer and office items as my space is visible from common rooms in the house.
Everything gets nicely tucked away and the height is just right for a small room with 8-ft ceilings. The only negative is that the drop down "table" hinges need to be stronger. As a desk, you must be careful not to lean on it with too much weight as the hinges bend and don't allow the drop-down table-top to close without force. I would think the manufacturer would put the strongest hinges available as this is meant to be a desk-top and it is natural to lean on it while working, keyboarding, writing, etc..
Delivery was good. Came in one piece - no assembly required. Delivery persons put "felt" on the feet so it would not scratch hard floors. The felt was not put on straight and can be seen from the sides of the unit, but given the piece is very heavy, they did their best to lift each side to attach the felt.

I bought this Linear office armoire last August 2023. When it's delivered the surface was rough and needed a service finish. Now a year later, just found out the door spring is broken and damaged the drop surface. I don't even open it often! It's unbelievable for this pricey item to have such poor quality. Very disappointed and frustrated!
