Palm

Our 96 inch Palm Sofa came with defective legs that were unstable and bent inward and a scratch to the custom-made fabric we chose and waited for it's arrival for months. The pillows do not fit well and are not like the pillows on the floor samples I sat on in the store. This was very unexpected and frustrating after spending $10,000 total on outdoor furniture from Room and Board. Other furniture pieces were also defective or poor quality as well.

I recently uncovered my palm sofa to find that the cover, purchased from Room & Board caused a small hole to develop on the corner of the left arm. The cover, which lacked leg hooks and often inflated from wind, caused friction to occur during the winter months. When I called to report the damage, I was met with numerous excuses, such as: you should really move your outdoor furniture in during the winter, and if you cover it, you should use pool noodles to avoid friction between the cover and the fabric. Now, I'm all for a hot tip on how to care for my belongings, and the pool noodle suggestion is one I'll certainly use in the future, but the idea that this should have occurred to me as a general consumer is as absurd as suggesting that outdoor furniture should be stored inside during the winter... please. In reality, when you purchase from a high-priced brand that differentiates on quality, you don't expect your furniture to last a season. If you live in a windy climate, I would not trust purchasing this couch (unless you buy pool noodles to place under the protective covers, apparently). In this instance, R&B expects me to pay for the replacement of the arm, and denied an offer to purchase a higher priced item (and pay the difference) to more promptly remedy what will otherwise take two months to repair and resolve a defect that should simply not have occurred if they were using proper material and construction in the couch and their protective cover. I'm happy to pay a premium for high-quality products, but sadly, this isn't the case with R&B on this couch. What's more, they excused their poor quality product instead of learning from it, resolving it properly, and correcting it for future customers. While I own a ton of R&B furniture, and most of it of great quality, this is a substandard product. Do not purchase, and do not trust R&B to stand behind their products.

This is a beautiful looking couch and is comfortable to sit on. I am a little concerned about how the cushion looks after you sit on it. Does not seem to be rebounding. You can easily see where the person sat, and that should not be happening on a new couch.

Get so many compliments on this. People can't believe it is an outdoor piece.

These couches are new but I anticipate they will hold up and perform well in a covered patio area. The bench cushion makes seating more comfortable. They clean easily and the fabric is very durable.

We bought a Palm Bench Cushion Sofa for our porch and are extremely pleased with the couch. Easy comfort laying down for one, one laying and one sitting, 3 comfortable and 4 friends. Appreciate a single bottom cushion, so comfortable for a nap.

Sofa is very comfortable and elegant in the room. I love the material I selected.

It has completely elevated my backyard setup. The cushions are firm and comfortable. The quality of the fabric is outstanding and it's easy to clean. I use Folex. I also want to mentioned the customer service. You get a real person that knows the product. White Glove delivery service too! I would highly recommend.

We ordered a custom Palm sectional for our covered deck and we couldn't be happier! We've had it now for 2 months and use it almost daily. It feels well made is very comfortable. It feels like you're sitting on an indoor couch.

Ordered this set after looking at several samples. It is exactly what I hoped it would be - well made, great style, and excellent warranty. I didn't get an email as soon as it was built, to schedule delivery. I happened to check the order and saw it was ready. That's OK though, still ready before scheduled.
