Great System but could use a tweak when buying multiples

System works great for our small bedroom. No need to build-out an enclosed closet that just takes up space. One thing that I think should be added is a way to attach separate units together for a more solid singular system. Think there could be a clip or a flush bolt as an accessory to tie them together at the rails. I decided to use a black zip tie under a shelf at 2 locations to tie the rails together. Fairly hidden as the rails are graphite and my unit shelves are charcoal.

BUYER BEWARE! While the product finish is advertised as maple painted white, the wood is, in fact, particle board with a very thin layer of maple veneer on the front and back of the shelves. This was discovered only after we had the units installed when we were considering refinishing them to match other maple wood in our home.
If it wasn't already installed, I would return it.

Can be used in clever ways

The Beam bookcase with hanging bar was the perfect piece to pair with a cabinet I already owned. The cabinet fit perfectly in the open space where the hanging bar is, and the walnut and graphite frame make it look like they were meant for each other. The shelves are very sturdy.
Installation was just two screws into the wall. There is a template provided which makes the process easier. Once you have it measured at the right height, the rest is pretty easy.

A great storage solution for my son's room, which doesn't have a traditional closet. I looked at a lot of closet systems but I'm so glad I found this one. It looks great and was easy to install. We haven't loaded it up yet but it feels very sturdy and secure. Very pleased and definitely considering buying other pieces of this collection in the future. #sweepstakes

Mounting system has room for improvement

They look great, but have a poor mounting system.
If you are placing these on carpet, getting the mounting screws at the exact height from the floor is very difficult. There are adjustable feet, but the adjustment amount is small and the unit doesn't feel too secure if the screws are even 1/16 inch off.
It has fixed locations for the wall screws, so you hope to get lucky and find a stud in the correct location. Drywall anchors did not seem strong enough to prevent the system from falling forward/off the wall. A cleat mounting rail with sliding (left/right) capabilities would be ideal.

a quality piece that looks sharp

I have a cedar lined closet that I want to show off. Too many closet systems on the market are a closet shaped piece of furniture that hides the beautiful wood.
These are bars mounted on a steel frame. It's a quality piece that looks sharp. The design of it makes installation much easier than many alternatives.
Obviously, I am a big fan.
A few things could be improved. To start with, publishing the instructions with full dimenstions would have made shopping much easier. I had to make a few guesses then measure after the piece was delivered. The notches are spaced 8" on the 36w and 5" on the 24w. If the spacing had been 4" (all pieces), it might have been easier to hit a couple studs.
On a practicle note, I would have liked a shelf above the top bar. Ideally utilizing the steel frame for support.
Service people were curteous and efficient. Very good experience.

We ripped out old musty cabinets in laundry room and replaced with a mix of Beam shelves and Beam Clothes rods. They are perfect and update the room. With mix and match inserts, our storage and hanging needs are covered!
