Beam

We got this to fit a small space in my son's room and I am very pleasantly surprised by the quality and look of the desk. We have another desk that has shelves and attaches to the wall (from another furniture store that we bought several years ago) that has wobbled from the moment we installed it. This desk is incredibly sturdy and solid, even through my son's frenetic coloring and wiggling. The color is beautiful and it's very aesthetically pleasing. Also easy to clean, which is a huge plus, given that my son uses all manner of crayons and pens. Love this and would order it again - I may order another one to replace the wobbly desk in my other son's room!

I got 3 beam units, with this desk unit in the center, and drop-down inserts for the left and right units. Pull them both down and you have a generously size workspace. When guests are over, throw the keyboard and mouse into the drop downs and close them up. Except for my monitor and the chair there's nothing else to see and the office space really blends into the wall nicely. This is a really elegant solution especially for a small NYC apartment where you have to create a workspace in a living room or bedroom. But - WATCH YOUR HEAD! The shelf above the desk level shelf is long, sticks out, if you stand up right from your chair you will hit your head. Remember to stand back!
