Crest Leather
This tannery marries centuries-old techniques and modern technology to produce exceptionally high-quality leather.

Founded in 1996, Crest Leather has grown to over 1,000 employees and is one of the world’s largest upholstery leather producers. Their mission is to respectfully transform cowhides, a byproduct of the meat industry that would otherwise be discarded, into high-quality leather using sustainable methods.
“The tanning of leather, when executed proficiently, is in itself an artform.”
Workers measure the thickness of a hide to ensure consistency.
Crest Leather has their offices in London and distribution centers around the world, but their main production facility is in the Arzignano valley of northern Italy, a location renowned for its history of specialty leather production. Here, many of Crest Leather’s senior technicians use their decades of experience to combine centuries-old artisan techniques with modern technology to produce soft and durable leather.
